• Mystic Charm

    Alex Van Gamer

    • Age: Young Adult

      Gender: Female

      Species: Unicorn

      Cutie Mark:
A pair of candles, one slightly taller than the other. A small pool of sparkling pink magic is spilling out from beneath them.

      Personality:
A very cheerful and optimistic pony. Mystic Ian hardly ever seen with a frown on her face, and tends to prance as she walks. She’s very dedicated to her mystic magic and could talk for hours about her work and the possibilities behind them.

Despite her friendly appearance, most people find her awfully quirky and weird, tending to avoid her more often than not, leaving her with very few friends. When ever anypony decides to lend an ear, her eagerness and over excitement cause her to talk very fast and long, unintentionally scaring ponies off.

      Backstory:
Being a unicorn, one would expect she came from at least one parent that shared her nature for using magic. However, neither of her parents were unicorns. Instead, one was a pegasus, while the other was an earth pony.

Given this fact, raising a pony with magic capabilities was a little difficult, but they managed to keep her safe and well cared for until she was a young filly, old enough to be able to practice and control her powers on her own.

However, it was also around this time, when they both suddenly disappeared, leaving Mystic alone at home with books of strange potion recipes, weird cosmic rituals, and books on the paranormal.

Mystic was moved to a foster home, but requested to keep the books she had found so that she could still read them. A simple request that was easily granted. So her knowledge in the mystic arts grew as she used these books to hone her magic and gained her cutie mark in the process.

Her fascination with these books left her with very few friends, and she would be called names like weirdo or freak, but she didn’t seem to care. Paying them no mind as she went about her studies. This sort of magic was tricky business, and she needed all her focus on learning and expanding her craft.
