Appearance: A brown pegasus with a scar over his left eye. He has scruffy grey hair and metallic implants to his wings. If one were to look, he has a few other scars across his body under his coat.

Cutie Mark: Two swords clashed pointed downward and a shield atop them. It signifies his desire for peace... and the measures he will go to to get it.

Personality: From a first glance, Neon would seem like a nice pony. And that is mostly true. He is devoted towards what's morally correct and will fight to maintain peace. However, what makes Neon himself is his dark side. He sometimes resorts to dark...and even questionable violence to get what is desired. Then again, it's only a small part of him.

Backstory: As a young foal, Neon was a gifted pony in mind. Acing most of his classes, he prospered quickly. However, it was not intelligence that earned his cutie mark. During recess, Neon was witness to one of his friends being bullied on the playground. With a deep desire of hatred for the offender, he instantly ran to his friend's side. This only earned him in the beating.<br /><br />However, it didn't last long. With his compassion for his friend, Neon actually took down the bullies with only some injuries. This earned him his cutie mark.<br /><br />His parents were anything but pleased when they found out that their son had just figured out that his mark was meant for beating up fellow students. Knowing this to be false, he tried to convince his parents otherwise, to no avail. Seeing as he was not trusted by his kin, Neon berried himself into the books, learning whatever he could, rejecting his family.<br /><br />After graduating the cloudsdale university of engineering with honors, Neon went on as a designer for the national guard. Seeing it was to maintain peace for his nation and it was his second talent to design, he jumped at the opening when he found it.<br /><br />After a few years of working, designing advanced radar to detect incoming flying ponies and other animals, Neon was recruited by a sub-branch of the national guard to design bio-tech weaponry. He was given almost unlimited access to raw materials and components to work with on his projects. Ironic, as that access was how he found out what the troth about the sub-branch was: a corrupted defense secretary's private weapons development team in preparation for a personal war with the griffon empire.<br /><br />At finding out about the upcoming war and that he was the designed of potential genocidal weapons, the pony lost himself to his darer side. He took every weapon he constructed and detonated them within the compound, destroying every piece of research and evidence of future war. <br /><br />This came with a price to Neon Glow however. During the destruction of the lab, he was hit by a powerful blast of niro-toxin. He had taken an antidote prior to the detonation, but the concentration rendered his mane to grow a sleek grey.<br /><br />After waking up in a military hospital, the pegasus also found his wings had been completely destroyed in the destruction. The med techs had given him a metallic implant as the base of his wings while new feathers grew back.<br /><br />He was offered the position of secretary of defense for the nation of Equestira, seeing as he did kill the corrupted one in the blast. Neon accepted the job, on one condition: he was to live in peace in the mountains, not in canterlot. Ponies had only caused him distress and chose in his past, breaking his trust with most of his equine kind. <br /><br />He now lives alone in the upper part of the canterlot mountains. He goes down the the capital for resources and his job, but that is all he has of the city. Everything else he needs is at home.
