Appearance: He is a tiny bit taller than the average pony.
His wings are somewhere between normal pegasus-size and alicorn-size (slightly larger than normal and a tiny bit larger in proportion to his body), which allows him to move at high speeds, at the cost of the extra weight.
His left eye sometimes gets an unclear sheer of a different colour (usually red) in it depending on his emotions.
Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is a cloud with a crescent moon behind it, symbolizing his dreamy personality, and his love of stargazing and other night-related activities.

Short explanation: His talent is night-survival, which pretty much means he can live at night as easily as anypony else does at day.
Personality: He is of the quiet, kind of sleepy and slightly shy type, mostly because of him being awake at night rather than the day (because of his job) thus, being mostly alone.
If he's with friends, he might start talking a lot, but among others, he's usually mainly a listener.
He's also helpful, as he'll say yes to help with almost anything others comes to him with (which is rare).
He easily gets adrenaline-rushes, and when he does he gets a lot of it, meaning that every time he gets the slightest kick or rush from something like a scare, something exciting or something angering him, he'll become kind of wild... Sometimes going out of control.
Backstory: He lived on a height in the Crystal Mountains with his older brother, North Light, and his his father who were tasked to find a way to clear the sky there, seeing as the clouds laid so thick over that area that it was practically impossible to move them, and kicking them clear would take a lot of time.

He got his cutie mark when he one night snuck out to try and look at the sky, and somehow managed to kick a hole in the thick cloud-layer, allowing him to go above and have a look. That was the first time he had ever seen the sky, seeing as the clouds had covered it his entire life, and he was instantly in love with the great sight of the stars and the moon. He did this more and more frequently, and this had an effect on his eye-sight: He sees really well in the dark, and even better in just the dim light of the moon. The downside to this is that his eyes are very sensitive to light, often leading him to having trouble seeing correctly in daylight, or get blinded by very small changes in the light.

This led him to continuously fly with all his might at the cloud-layer, to try and clear it so that others in the area could enjoy the sight too. This, again led to him becoming an unnaturally fast flier, but the way he did it didn't account for stamina-training. So even though he was (and is) ridiculously fast, he can't uphold max speed for more than up to 20 seconds, or just short distances.

After a few years, he managed to kick big and many enough holes in the clouds, so that his father could finish the job. After hearing this, Night got the job as a sky-clearer/weather-stallion at nighttime from the weather-control in Cloudsdale, and is now stationed above the Ponyville-area. His brother North Light also moved there with him, where they now share a cloud-home.
