Appearance: A dark grey/black unicorn, with a dual-tone green flat mane, he usually keeps his tail on a normal length, but during missions he usually cuts it shorter; he has green eyes too<br />Nightstrike usually wears a dark/mimetic suit that bends its color like him, where he holds his weaponry.

Cutie Mark: An half moon and a butterfly knife, symbol of his assassinations skills, especially during the darkness of the night.

Personality: Nightstrike may appear cold and focused on his tasks, but usually he is open for a chat, especially with his friends, who he really likes to mock at times.<br />If he has a job or a mission, all his feelings will go to the background, leaving his thoughts on the target and the job at hand, but if a friend is in danger, he will not hesitate to put his mission aside to help him.<br />He has a strong sense of duty towards both his mission and his friends.<br />Though he used to be engaged as a royal assassin, he prefer to consider himself just as a spy nowadays, he was forced to kill for the facility who basically “made” him, thus he despises killing anypony, preferring alternative ways, but if the mission demands it, he will not step back or hesitate.

Backstory: Nightstrike was born like a normal colt, but he was “experimented on and designed” till he became the pony he is now.<br />Kidnapped as a colt, he doesn’t remember his parents, he lived all of his infancy in an underground laboratory in the middle of the Everfree forest.<br />This lab, ruled by the Cloudsdale weather corporation, had the goal to create new weapons and special ponies, Nightstrike was the main success of the “future-soldier” project .<br />His experimenter was Doctor Electron Volt ( http://mlpforums.com...tron-volt-r4961), a Pegasus pony engineer forced to work here and that slowly drifted insane.<br />He gave Nightstrike his name, as it was the codename of the section of the project, his real name is still unknown.<br />Nighstrike was tortured with experiments since the imprisonament, all of his natural skin was replaced by Volt with a synthetic, and color binding, artificial one. His horn was implanted with a special materials that enhanced his levitation power. His muscle were “improved” with chemical injections, making him faster and more silent, his body was subjected with a fast-growing procedures, thus making him a stallion in less time. Also his nerves got amplified so they can have a capacity way beyond any normal pony.<br />While the physical modification were applied with success, turning his body into the perfect stealth machine, the psychological tortures and the hard training, aimed to turn him into a soulless killing machine. <br />But it didn’t work as Nightstrike’s mind and heart resisted.<br />Being the only survived test subjects of Volt’s experiments, it was decided to use him on missions anyway while Volt was working on newer” technologies”.<br />To force the stallion to do “his job”, Volt implanted a shock device, which was supposed to bring an intense pain, in case of disobediance.<br />Nightstrike, under the control of the device, completed his first assassination mission gaining his cutie mark while stabbing a traitor of the CWC in the back during a crescent moon night.<br />He slowly started to learn how to resist the sufferance of the device, and he was almost able to escape from the CWC control during a mission. Eventually he was captured, Volt was tasked to find new ways to keep him in line.<br />During the interrogation/psychological torture session, Volt drifted into madness again, Nigstrike saw the perfect occasion to escape, he used a mind-clearing spell on Volt to try to gain the access codes to remove the device and escape the facility; as a side effect of the spell accidentally split Volt's personality in 2.<br />Being able to talk to the real and the old Volt, they realized that they were both prisoners, and that they never wanted this life, working with his newly find friend and other two ponies, they were finally able to escape the facility and destroying it, thus stopping the CWC’s plans.<br />Volt after the escape started to work in an electric dam, following his reasearch, Nighstrike decided to join Luna’s personal guards and to became a royal spy, he still refuses to be called a soldier.<br />His tasks now are usually to check the most far away territories of the empire, but especially search and destroy operations against changelings hives, operations that assures him all the fun and bits he needs.<br />Sometimes he asks his friend Volt aid on those vital and dangerous missions.<br />Nighstrike prefer to live outside, being forced to live into a closed underground laboratory, the forest is a beautiful home for him, and Volt’s dam remembers him the laboratory too much, but if it is necessary, he will take shelter there, not having a real home but the forest and royal guards barracks.
