Cutie Mark: A hexagon with outward reaching tendrils. The tendrils signifying her tremendous creative capability, and reaching ever outward for inspiration. but the straight hexagonal shape (straight boxy walls) shows how she has and will continue to deny her potential by not sharing what she creates, and how she is her own barrier.

Personality: A true introvert. Is exhausted by interactions with other ponies and has to take tome time to herself at the end of the day to recoup. (Or she can turn into a real jerk) Very inventive and somewhat artistic, has an eye for symmetry.<br />Often takes inspiration from nature, as she is often left to contemplate the scenery in her forest home. <br />Because shes become such a recluse, and is convinced that is how shes 'got to live her life' she goes to few social gatherings and lacks any friends, only a wide circle of acquaintances. She isn't exactly open to gaining a friend either, as she doesn't think that she will ever meet a pony that she can befriend, and has created a sort of self fulfilling prophesy; She doesn't have friends because she doesn't let herself. <br />She wants to contribute to society, and her lack of contribution leads to an empty feeling, and existence.<br />Because she cant handle being around enthusiastic ponies very often, she has become a recluse, living in a small home in the forest alone. She is obviously very lonely, as ponies are quite social creatures, but its simply too taxing for her to stay around people. <br />She enjoys the quiet that this life affords her nonetheless, and it allows her to work more efficiently, though towards what goal she does not yet know. <br />She ventures out often enough for supplies and food and the like. Its enough interaction to keep her sane and stable, and remind her why she doesn't like to go out much. :P<br />She creates all sorts of small machines and contraptions, baubles, doodads, and devices, which could help many ponies, especially if she teamed up with a unicorn, but she doesn't have much of any means to delivering said devices to the ponies they would serve best. <br />So for the most part, her contraptions gather dust on shelves throughout the house.<br />A few times she's seen a need in the community she lives near, and helped a pony out with some of her inventions. At times they have accepted her gift graciously, filling her with such satisfaction that she knows what she is doing what she is meant to do in life. But on other occasions (her more visionary contraptions) have been flat out rejected, leading to an undertone of enmity between her and the rest of the world, and intensifying her introverted habits.<br /><br />Nix is looking(sorta) for somepony who is engaging, and isn't so darn enthusiastic ALL the TIME...

Backstory: Nix grew up on a humble farm, away from the hubbub of the outside world. It was a fine life, she earned a good work ethic, and her first inventions were devices to assist with common farm tasks.<br />Her mother, a Pegasus, Father, an Earth pony. Their relationship was standard, they may have fought a little more than most, and almost split during their 'midlife crisis', but they'll love each other to their last.<br /><br />When Nix came of age, she left the farm with her contraptions and headed to the city to make her fortune. <br />She got ripped off. The rights to her farm equipment were bought by some pony who took advantage of her naivety. The sum was more money than she had seen in one place at a time in her life, but that's not saying much considering her origins.<br />She soon realized that she was being taken advantage of and ceased her dealings with the pony.
