Backstory: Novella was born as an only child in Stallion Island and raised by a single mother. She often secluded herself from the world since she and her mother moved a lot before settling in Purosangueepsie at age 16. In an effort to get her daughter to find some friends, her mother sent her to an all-fillies summer camp. To this day, the two friends Novella made are still her closest companions, especially since all three of them moved to Purosangueepsie from different areas of Equestria.<br />Since getting her cutie mark, she has displayed an interest in all forms of literature, from reading it to writing it. In fact, despite her performing so well in almost all of her subjects, she excelled in Equestrian the most. She's been pushing herself and entering Manehattan's Young Writers' Competition and was the winner in her age division for three years straight, even gaining a full scholarship for Canterlot University, where she's majoring in Equestrian Literature.
