Omen
By Blitz Boom
Age: Real age unknown, but counts herself as being 3015 years old.
Gender: Female
Species: Non-Pony
Appearance: As seen in the picture, though with the minor addition that her mane and tail always sway slightly, even if there is no wind at all.

Furthermore, she doesn't need to blink, and mostly only does when something big hits her in the eye.

She also haves a mouth though it seems like she doesn't, but she doesn't speak with it. Inside is a roughly 6 meter long prehensile tongue.
Cutie Mark: Her kind doesn't have it, though her master did consider putting a picture of himself there once.
Personality: Curious, and somewhat hollow is the best way to describe her. Omen isn't emotionless, but she does have lesser influence on it than others, and her voice is a constant passive with slight variations added to it at times, such as curious, confused, and a few others.

It can be unnerving to some, but it is just part of who she are.
Backstory: There isn't much to tell before she met Discord.

Omen comes from a shadow-realm between worlds. The black and grey nuanced materials their world is built from are unstable and constantly moving, only manageable to be held still for some time by the ones who live there.

In there, omen grew up as one amongst thousands of siblings. Genderless, formless and nameless, getting through her days in the ever-changing world like all of them did, and looked as travellers from countless worlds at times came through, and was passed in favour of others that looked for someone to follow.

That is, until the day Discord arrived.

During one of his teleportations, Discord had made a wrong turn and ended up suddenly in the realm of the shades - or Ki'Nathar as some calls them - and seeing how countless eyes from thousands of beings flocked near to him, looking curiously at the odd arrival.

When he proclaimed himself to be a magic user of great power, the offers from them all started to flood in over him. In the spur of the moment, he picked out one, thinking the creatures amusing: The one who would in time become Omen.

As is customary when the deal was made, Discord flowed some of his own magic into the shade and gave it form, soon leading to the mare standing in front of him. A mare he called Omen.

Omen had many questions about life in the times that were after they went to the chaotic world of Equestria, and through the answers she got over the next three years and from what she saw, she built her world view over this realm of nonsensical actions, whilst continuing to serve without question.

Being from a race that couldn't fight, Omen found her place under Discord's command to be delivering of messages. A thing that her race did well as they had a certain sense about tracking down other beings, and through the times this is what she did. Acting as the messenger from the lord of the realm, though mostly to Celestia whom Discord had particular fun at poking to for his own amusement.

It wasn't meant to last though. One time, after visiting her family briefly, Omen returned to a world she could recognise. Everything was stable and in order, nothing appeared or vanished all of a sudden, and the ponies of the world was starting to gather around the hill where the throne had once stood, though now somepony else than master stood and proclaimed themselves to be the new rulers of the land.

She didn't know what to do. Omen couldn't feel her master anywhere, and nopony would speak to her because of who she served except for perhaps the princesses, but they kept her from them too well.

After a littl time, she stopped trying, and returned back to her home between worlds. Staying there for nearly a thousand years with only a few visits every few decades to see if she could feel her master's return.

After almost 3000 years though, Mother told her that she had to return to Equestria on a more permanent basis. That she was to seek out her place in that world instead of pinning for somepony that might never show.

Guided on by her, Omen returned, though she stuck to the sidelines and observed to try and learn things, wandering over Equestria and slowly began to piece up a few things here and there.

Considering how she began, it have been hard for her to try and replace the ideals that Discord taught her with the new ways, and such the learning curve have been slow. She learns a few things, and after the first decade she even started to sporadically try and make contact with others, but since most either becomes afraid of her suddenly looking at them from a gate that showed out of nowhere, doesn't want to talk with her at all, or just uses her to deliver messages if they listen long enough to understand that part of her, it's not helping on things.

It was after delivering a message once that she suddenly felt the vibe going through the air again. The feeling of master out there somewhere, returned from wherever he had been.

She couldn't find him though. Much as she tried, his energy eluded him, and she found herself seeking in far off places whilst he was trying to take over Equestria again.

When she finally began to go back towards the centre, it was too late. Unbeknownst to her, Discord had been turned back to stone, and the vibe vanished again, leaving her confused once more. That is when the strange one appeared.

He never gave her a name to work with. All she saw was a tall stallion covered under a thick robe, the yellow eyes focusing on her from the darkness under the hood and the tiger-stripped coat near the end of his muzzle that stuck out.

He used the time of her confusion to tell her things about the balance of worlds, and why Discord needed to remain incapable of wrecking havoc upon it. Of good and evil, and the threads that had to be woven with care to not unravel the whole picture.

The words confused her greatly, and it took him hours to get the majority of it through to her, but after he did, she found herself realising the doubts she had about master for the first time, and it only increased when it mixed with what the stranger had said.

He claimed that the doubt had always been there, and that is why she could not find him. That she deep inside wasn't sure if she wanted to, and it obscured her tracking.

Faced with this, she returned home to find guidance from mother, who told her in simple terms that she could not direct her in this matter. That this was a growing experience that she had to deal with on her own.

Omen still doesn't know exactly what she is going to do, but she still cautiously looks for her master whilst she thinks.

Since he was released from the stone, she have been looking around for him and tried to pick up on what others beings said about him. Though scarce, she eventually found them talking about how he was sometimes seen in Ponyville, and so she ended there as well.

She have been there for a week now, and she still haven't seen him. Others she have met, and they have distracted her from the watching she were doing, but she doesn't mind. These beings that now speaks with her and asks her for help isn't showing fear at her, and some even accepts her. It is more than she have seen for many years prior, and slowly, as she helps and sees the cauldron of races that she begins to meet, she starts to wonder about things. About how it will go, how many of them will keep talking with her once they are done...

...If she have finally found what mother wants for them all. A place where she can belong, and start to live.
