• Ophelia & Dahlia

    Hazard Time

    • Age: 24

      Gender: Female

Species: Other Pony (Crystal, Bat, etc.)

      Appearance:
Fraternal twin crystal ponies with a penchant for lolita gothic fashion.

Ophelia has a purple coat with magenta eyes and a two toned pink and rose mane. Though her outfit may change, she always wears a crystalline circlet upon her head and thick white stockings upon her legs. She stands shorter than the average mare with an endomorphic body type.

Dahlia has a two-toned wheat-colored coat with mahogany features. Her mane and tail are black with braids. She often wears flowers in her hair, the kinds she picks being very specific for the occasion. She is an ectomorph who stands above the average mare.

      Cutie Mark:
Ophelia's cutie mark is a pink and rose empathy symbol.

Dahlia's cutie mark is a pink dahlia flower with green leaves.

      Personality:
Both twins share many personality traits that often merge or transfer from one to the other, owing to an empathic link between the two. They're able to pick up on the emotions and feelings of each other, and have developed an uncanny ability to finish each others' sentences.

The most immediate difference between the two would have to be Ophelia's more outgoing and playful nature while Dahlia is more reserved and prudish. While the latter tends to hang back and allow her sister to lead the conversation, piping in on occasion, the former is much more gregarious. Unfortunately for Ophelia, this enthusiasm for socialization is tempered by her "gift", the ability to peer into the eyes of others and feel their emotions. This process is rather invasive, however, and maintaining eye contact for long periods of time will generate intense feelings of paranoia and violation. This has led to many ponies being too uncomfortable to get close to her. She also has a secret ability related to those who come in contact with her naked hoof, though no pony but she and her sister know the full effects.

Dahlia, on the other hand, much prefers the company of her many flowers to ponies. What little personal property she has is mostly made up of various beautiful flowers that she cares for and treats like her children. On occasion, she will allow her sister to nibble on one, but these occasions are few and far between and Dahlia would rather starve than destroy one of her flowers that she raised from seedling to maturity. Like her sister, she also has psychic powers, and with Ophelia's help, the two of them have made a business out of her talents with conducting tarot card readings.

      Backstory:
Born in the Crystal Empire prior to Sombra's takeover, as soon as the twins were born, they were nearly inseparable. Despite their parents' attempts, the two did not care much for being held unless they were close to each other. As soon as Ophelia's "gift" began to manifest, it became clear that Dahlia was an exception. What was also obvious was that prolonged physical contact with her twin had generated an uncanny link between the two. They didn't have too many friends as foals, though they didn't seem to mind, as they found each other to be enough company.

When Sombra took over, their psychic abilities were singled out and they became a part of his court. Dahlia conducted a single reading for the Tyrant, after which he was so enraged that he nearly threw her and Ophelia in the mines. Instead, he kept them as curiosities, gathering dust in a high tower until he became desperate enough to ask their advice again. However, his end soon came, and after a one-thousand year long stasis, they were finally free once more.

The two immediately set up a tent near the train station, plying their psychic trade to the multitude of tourists who visited the Empire every month. Eventually, they made enough money to afford a self-driving wagon to take their venture on the road, which is their new home.
