Appearance: dark purple body, bright red mane and tail, blue eyes. He doesn't usually bother to keep his mane or tail neat and they are always a bit messy, unless he knows he's going to a special function. He keeps them usually around medium length overall roughly. <br /><br />His build is somewhat athletic, but not anything like a bodybuilder type of build. He is also a bit taller then average. He often wears a hat, sunglasses and saddlebags. His hat has straps that go under his jaw to help keep his hat on his head and so it can't be easily knocked off by wind. Before he left he had his travels he decided to have a very minor enchantment put on his saddlebags so the contents don't get wet since he assumed he'd have to swim some rivers or may be out in the rain and he'd not want his stuff to get wet, especially not his photography and writing stuff. His saddlebags are also the type that have a belt that goes under him to keep them more secured on him. The pony equivalant of backpack with straps that one can secure across their upper abdomanal to better secure it onto yourself.<br /><br />Once he becomes an alicorn he wears his hat to hide his horn & wears his saddlebags to cover his wings, so he looks like a normal earth pony, like he originally was.

Cutie Mark: A Camera & a quill {or pen]<br /><br />This signifies that he when he was a younger pony discovered he liked to take pictures and enjoyed also taking notes of the picture, when it was taken, those in the picture, the story behind the picture and some other facts, and that he had a talent for doing so.

Personality: Sees himself as a normal ol earthpony, nothing special about him. <br /><br />Doesn't like those snooty type ponies, like those who live in Canterlot, during the very brief time he visited there, like the one who called him a dirty earth pony. Pretty laid back about most things. Sees everyone as equal with no one better then anypony else. Does have money from a family that is decently well off, doesn't like to show it and be treated like anyone special. <br /><br />He likes to travel to see new sights, take pictures of scenes, ponies in their regular life doing regular things as normal looking things like a town street, natural settings, natural scenes and so on. <br /><br />He is fairly intelligent overall. Not a genius but decently intelligent. Sorta like a b student kind of level. He does try to get along well with most others, except for the snooty types, and unpleasant types. He does assume that those he meets will be decent or nice, unless they prove otherwise.

Backstory: He was born an earth pony. His family does have some money, due to various good investments and some good luck. Though they never thought of themselves as better then anyone else and see themselves as regular earth ponies, a trait he has taken up and believes in himself. Part of their money came from having a large farm and when the railroad came through in the area in the past and needed land instead of agreeing to sell some of their land to the railroad instead went for having a certain amount of money given to them regularly based on how well the railroad did (the earth equivalent of going for shares in the railroad company instead of agreeing to a lump sum 1 time payment). As well as helping some who wanted to start their own businesses but didn't have the money. They'd also offer them free business advice and no need to pay them back for a year or 2, and then only from a small percent of the profits. Though this has been done over generations, not just the most recent. <br /><br />He has 2 sisters, one that is about a year older then him and a younger one that's several years younger. He also has a fairly large family. Some he gets along with more then others. He gets along with his immediate family from ok to good. Some a bit more then others. Though as kids his sisters would annoy him at times and he them. <br /><br /><br />As a young age he liked to listen to stories and look at pictures, especially stories about the picture he's looking at. Once he learned how to write he'd start writing down the stories behind each picture & who each pony, and very occasional griffon, was in the picture and a bit of their story, if any was known. Once he was older he would take some pictures as well, adding the same stories also. He'd also write down some stories and memories of the oldest members of his family then some others, taking some pictures also. During this time he got his cutie mark. He'd keep this organized as best as he could and thought he may enjoy doing this on maybe a larger scale. Maybe traveling around to take pictures of some of the great nature scenes like he took of the ones around where he lives. He thought it may be great to continue to take notes and pictures so history would not be lost. Folks could see what the past was actually like and read things said by the actual people who had lived during those times. With the writing and pictures he was hoping some history would not be lost and could be close to being experienced. Seeing what some places looked like that may not exist or were changed.<br /><br />Some cities he has traveled to he has liked more then others. Some like Canterlot were very stuck up. He did take a few pictures there. Founds a unicorn to enchant some shoes so he can walk on clouds using them, so when he gets around to it he can visit there for some pictures and talking. <br /><br />One day, late at night he was looking over the pictures he had taken and touching up the notes. Hoping some things that were going to be torn down would still have a picture, and some stories of the folks who had lived or visited the building. As well as the family history, now at least some of it was preserved, hopefully for future generations.
