Piffle

Appearance: <p>  Species: Giant Squid </p> <p>   Altogether, Piffle's body is rather small considering. His small, conical, white, pliable body is about four feet long & not much bigger then the torso of your average mare. Most of his body is encompassed by his huge, glittering eyes and two large, triangular fins on either side of his "head." Below his actual body are his ten tentacles. Eight footlong ones, four on front & four on back, form a fringe around his beak that gives the impression of a smiling, mustached grin. The remaining two tentacles though extend far below those to a length of twelve feet that end in two large, suckered pads & are notably stronger then the rest of him. </p>

Personality: <p>  Piffle is childish and overly friendly. He is quite giddy at the thought of making new friends, so much so that he tends to get grabby & completely ignore any protestations of his beloved targets. It's not unusual for Piffle to quickly chase down a pony with his long strides & enwrap them so tight that the only way back out of his inescapable hugs are to pass the easily distracted squid onto the next pony to come along or to actively chew or cut your way out. </p> <p>   Which isn't too much of a bother to Piffle either. Piffle loves helping out others to such an extreme extent that he will even willingly allow his tentacles to be lopped off if asked. They grow quickly back in two days, make for decent rope & of course, calamari dishes! </p> <p>   As numb as his limbs may be, Piffle isn't too terribly bright either. His mind can't grasp the fact that some may not like having him so suddenly close and as he's recently taken to walking on land, he'll often forget that he needs to spend a good third of the day soaking in water so he does need somepony to keep an eye on him. </p>

Backstory: <p>    There are many creatures of all shapes & sizes in the oceanic depths of Seaquestria. When after countless ages of seclusion, six ponies of the land world made their way down. The news caught most of the aquatic kingdom's denizens with surprise and some with curiosity. </p> <p>    When Piffle heard of the news of new potential friends on land, he was so excited & absolutely enthralled that he immediately set off to lunge out of the ocean & grab everypony he could find in his inescapable hugs! </p>
