Appearance: <p> Red Velvet is an average sized mare with a red coat, white mane with pale pink streaks and yellow eyes. She is generally a very happy pony, always smiling, and usually wears a black choker round her neck. </p> <p>   </p>

Cutie Mark: <p> A simple slice of Red Velvet cake, her namesake and speciality when it comes to baking which is her special talent. </p> <p>   </p> <p>   </p>

Personality: <p> She's usually kind and happy, she's also very outgoing and talkative and is very fond of her family and friends always looking out for them. She is relatively strict with her foal Angel Slice because she wants him to grow up to be a nice pony that everyone can get along with and she can on occasion be a little grumpy while he is around her; though this is rare and she is normally very warm and gentle with him even when he's playing with her hair or running about under her legs. She has a sweet tooth and hates bitter or sour foods. She is very devoted to her family and always puts their needs before hers. </p> <p>   </p> <p>   </p> <p>   </p>

Backstory: <p> Red Velvet grew up as an only child for a lot of her childhood and so she learned to be very sociable with other ponies to make up for this, as by the time her sisters were born they were too young to be really close to her. When her cousin Battenberg came along a few years after her sisters were born she'd been working as a babysitter and was much better at looking after young ponies, this meant she spent more time with Battenberg and the two became very close, she is closer to Battenberg than she is to her sisters, becoming like a big sister to her and even mentoring her and helping her to improve her baking skills. She followed in her family's footsteps and got into baking becoming skilled in her craft and earning her cutie mark. While preparing the cake for a wedding in Manehattan she met Royal Velvet who was working on the groom's suit at the time, the two got talking and quickly became close. Whilst visiting her in Trottingham exactly a year after they first met, Royal proposed to Red and the two were married just 6 months later and she moved to Manehatten to live with him. The couple had their first foal just over a year after their wedding, they named him Angel Slice due to his appearance being close to that of an Angel cake. </p> <p>   </p> <p>   </p> <p>   </p>
