Personality: Remoten/Moten has always questioned himself on who he is. He looks at everypony around him, and assumes their thoughts. He thinks that other people look at him like he's weird and mean. Moten strays from the social path, and sticks to his imagination. When he does end up talking to other ponies, he usually stutters to find correct words to say. After any conversation, he always looks back on it and realizes how stupid and rude he may have sounded. Therefore, he usually sticks to himself.

Books, learning, innovation, these are all things of his that he loves to do in his free time. He's always teased by his lack of a cutie mark too, and thus making him feel even more isolated than ever (considering his age).
Backstory: Moten always tries to apologize, saying sorry, but his parents have always discouraged him from it. He tries to say sorry for that, but that was just contradictory in itself. Anxiety backed up every single decision he made, but was never able to calm his shame. Every decision he made, usually he thought he'd made a mistake. In social cues, physical interactions, or anything else of the matter always pushed anxiety into him and shame onto himself.

One day though, he looks at a book about the science behind magic. Never had he abandoned that book, even though nearly everypony around him thought of science as fake and witchery. Moten looks back to what people say, but he's never able to explain to them his logic behind science. Ponies don't seem to understand him...

Working with his own studies of science, he was bullied by endless amounts of ridicules. Over years, he learned that nopony would ever stop, and learned to keep to himself and stray from revealing his love for science. Magic was believed to be all there was, but Moten believed that there must be something behind it.

Drastically, his parents soon realized how he loved science, and didn't put up with it too well. They got into an argument, and eventually it was clear that his parents as well hated the idea of science. It wasn't against the law to study science, but was rather something disgraceful against society. Over the next few days, his parents disowned them, and Remoten felt more remote than ever. Looking for a place to go, his uncle-in-law, Gen Ron George (or george for short), offered to take him in and be his godfather. Moten went into a deep depression, and hated himself for having worked with science in the first place. Since George's residence resides in Equestria, Moten felt at least a little happy that he won't be seeing his bullies again, and would be given a fresh start.

Weeks after arriving at Gen Ron George's house, George noticed the depression Moten was in. One day, George went into his room to have a talk to him, only to interrupt his studies of science. Moten, startled, struggled to apologize for reading it, and pleaded with Gen to not throw him out of the household like his parents had. Moten started to sob over himself, and curled up into his blankets and accepting his fate. George, warm-hearted, sat down with him, comforting him. Minutes passed, and George then said to him, "You know, I think that book you're reading is the best of its kind." Moten froze, looked up at Gen confusingly, then turning back realizing that he wasn't the only one who loved science. "Also," Gen continued, "I have a huge storage room full of books like these if you're interested." Remoten looked back at him, "Wait, do you mean that you're not mad at me for my interest in science?" Gen reacted to him, "Of course not! Not everypony likes this kind of stuff. You and me, we're special. People say we're weird, but really, we're just different." Moten teared up again, but this time of joy. They embraced, and he finally for the first time in his life, didn't feel alone inside.

"Moten, there is not need to feel shame for a love in something." George continued, "In fact, I took you into my household because of this interest. I saw your gift, and saw that you wouldn't do well without any support... You aren't alone anymore."

The next day, Remoten felt rejuvenated, and finally felt ready to continue life. Although he still doesn't have a cutie mark, it didn't matter, because discovery of this is nearly the same as discovery in science and magic. He realized that by not having a cutie mark, he was given an opportunity to find out who he really is...
