• Ronin

    P-Jay

    • Age: 76

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Cutie Mark: A family crest, with a sword behind it. Symbolizing his talent for the family's particular style of swordplay, and his destiny to pass it on.

Personality: Quiet, introverted, and friendly, Ronin is a rather gentle pony. Preferring to have civil conversations, over resorting to violence, he teaches that the sword isn't a weapon to be drawn at every problem. Although, that doesn't mean he discourages drawing your sword when you must.

He has a positive outlook on life, stopping to smell the flowers with every chance he gets, he prefers to take it easy. Slow living, at it's finest.

Backstory: Ronin was born into a family, who decades earlier, was known for their prowess on the battlefield. They had kept their style of swordplay alive through their generations, teaching their style in their dojo. Of which, Ronin naturally was enrolled in. Learning quickly, he lived with his family for quite some time, helping with the dojo long after he 'graduated'. Until, time came for Ronin to find his own way of life.

He chose to try and expand his family's sword-style, by moving to Equestria, in hopes of teaching there. He had quite the sum of money, for a kick-start, from his family, so acquiring a dojo was easy enough. But few took interest. All except for one mare, named Violet, who helped him enroll a few ponies.

Violet would bounce in and out, having her own adventures, occasionally popping in to assist. But one day, she told Ronin of someone who would take great interest in this dojo, and even excel at the swordstyle. Ronin agreed on seeing this mystery pony, and so Violet introduced Caliber to him.

Caliber had but a stick, back then. But even so, he still rose rapidly to become the star student, of the dojo. He had no money, so Violet helped pay for his training, and even then Ronin would've gladly taken him on for free. Time passed, and as a gift for learning everything there was to learn about the swordstyle, Ronin gifted him his own personal sword.

He still has the dojo, in Bangcolt, to this day.
