Cutie Mark: A simple glyph, as pictured. He earned it soon after he realized the potency of glyphs, from the first book of Foreign Magic he read. Symbolizing his talent for creating--and casting--glyphs.

Personality: Rune is a mostly easy-going individual, although he is somewhat an introvert. Preferring to go about his business alone, he will welcome company, although the idea of spending time with others is an alien concept. <br />Extremely intelligent, commonly technical, and above all: cunning. Given time, he can most likely find a way out of nearly any circumstance. But of course, this doesn't mean he always will. <br />Tactical, aware of how other's minds might work, his wide array of glyphs, and his skill at utilizing those are his greatest strengths.<br />He has an inflated ego, commonly thinking himself above most of society. Although, he does enjoy a creative mind to converse with, a sure-fire way of attracting his attention is to assert yourself as a being who's mind is on par with his own.<br />He can feign emotions, when the time calls, faking romantically interests, ect. But seeing as this is a rather cruel front, he scarcely uses his ability to act. <br />All this is not to say that he doesnt, say, feel compassion towards others. He enjoys the idea of friendship, although his rather sardonic personality would serve as a rather tough block on that road. <br /><br />Simply put, he's a somewhat cynical person, going through the works of how the world works. Acknowledging the goods, along with taking the bads. But still has hope for ponykind...<br />

Backstory: Born into a rather wealthy family, Rune grew up enjoying life on a silver platter. Enrolling in a private school at a young age, it was discovered that his thirst for knowledge far outclassed his classmates. Making himself known as the most intellectual individual in his school, it was no surprise when he was accepted into the School for Gifted Unicorns. Up until then, he had breezed through every test, every exam, and easily become the most popular. T<br /><br />However, that came to a halt in the collage. He was no longer the 'best', anymore, as everyone else was just as capable as he was. Naturally, seeing as he had never experienced being 'average', he rejected this reality...And set to work. Through effort, even in the School of Gifted Unicorns, he rose through the ranks. Friends were little more then a distant thought, as he studied into every night, overachieving in his classes. And in time, this rewarded him, as being in the top percentage of the school. <br /><br />However, one day, they were researching foreign magic. Case in point, glyphs. He was drawn in by the simplicity, of this particular form of magic. Everything about it, seemed so...Correct. Of course, he was no stranger to casting his own magic, but truth be told, his own magic pool was...Inefficient. A glyph, one that doesn't require vast amounts of magic, only precision, greatly appealed to him.<br /><br />He started to research it...More and more heavily, completely transfixed by it's simple yet complex design. <br /><br />He graduated, although he couldn't care less, at this point, having realized that even if he failed in life, his family line would surely have enough money for him to fall back on.<br /><br />For now, he improves on his talent with glyphs, commonly doing research to improve on his abilities with them. He has a few goals, for now, mainly to improve his own magical prowess, and to simply discover new things.
