  • Satyr

    Naught Important

    • Age: 20

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: You can mostly see what he looks like from the picture... but he doesn't always wear his hat wherever he goes. He takes it off whenever he enters a building, due to him being naturally respectful.

Cutie Mark: Satyr's Cutie mark represents his desire for a peacful state-of-mind. He never likes seeing anypony in pain or suffering, and he tries to calm down stressed souls or brighten up depressed ponies.<br /><br />Satyr recieved his Cutie mark when his mother was getting very angry over something. He nearly broke out into tears when he heard things being smashed in his mother's room. When his mother was tired out, she sat on her bed, and began crying a river. But then, Satyr thought that if he gave something to her, it might calm her down. So, he went out into the garden and picked a flower off of a bush, and gave it to his mother. As expected, his mother calmed down, and thus, he recieved his Cutie mark.

Personality: Generally, Satyr is very upbeat and cheery. He sometimes appears to be somewhat cocky, but knows of all his strengths and weaknesses. He doesn't accept undeserved compliments, and takes insults as feedback of his actions, which he can use to recognize any faults he has made. Satyr is very honest when somepony asks for the truth, but warns them that the truth may be best not to be known. <br /> Satyr also allows anypony to enter his home at will, which is located in a variating area in space. Why? Because he knows how amazing the sights of space are, and doesn't mind the company. How? He placed a Teleporter in a forest near to Ponyville. When somepony enters the teleporter, they are simultaniously transferred to, as he would say, his "Long-term Outpost" <br /> Satyr often uses relatively high vocabulary when he speaks or writes. Sometimes he has to simplify his speeches in order for anypony to unterstand him completely.<br /> Satyr explores the stars and records anything he discovers in a series of books, which he often lends to Twilight Sparkle. He also writes fictional stories, but you would often hear him say "Fiction means 'hasn't happened yet.' Anything can happen within this universe, so fiction cannot mean 'hasn't and will never happen' ."<br /> Coming off of that last statement, Satyr always says that "Nothing is Impossible, But there might be a very low chance of something happening." We usually think that nothing can escape the gravitational pull of a Black Hole, or that it is Impossible to escape one. Satyr, even though a Black hole is his greatest fear, says that not even that is impossible. It is, however, the event with the smallest chance to survive in.<br /> If you see Satyr at his "Long-term Outpost" doing anything other than recording data, stargazing, or writing a book, he would be playing his Violin. He has even given his violin a name, Poneiptylite. He is pretty skilled at playing a violin, and would often preform songs for the public. He has customized Poneiptylite to look wonderful, but still work properly. <br /> Satyr rarely loses a debate or a fight of any sort. He doesn't attack as much as he would defend, though. He often teases the opposition by avoiding every attack without laying a hoof on them. Also, When you try to prove a point that goes against his research or beliefs, he knows of almost any way to make the whole thing go in his favor, but will never not consider the opponent's ideas.

Backstory: Satyr wasn't born in Equestria. He was born as a prince to King Silus and Queen Siane in the kingdom of Garthidam on the planet Cheimus. Planet Cheimus was a lot like Equestria in the fact that the planet was inhabited by ponies, and other animals. But, It was much more like Earth considering the general public was fairly stupid, almost every town was more buildings than nature, and some other things. Anyway, Satyr lived a somewhat joyful life in his eyes. He liked to be alone, and never changed from peer pressure. But, at the age of 7, Queen Siane was murdered by a legendary assassin, who ironicly was recruted into royalty a few years later. That lead King Silus into a depression, which then resulted in a great amount of anger. Satyr was the only pony who was allowed to be close to the King from then on, and was often abused from his lack of seriousness in reality. Silus created unfair laws that limited the townsponies into submission. After word spread about Silus abusing Satyr and the laws passed, he was given the nickname "ROTA" Which stood for "Ruthlesss Old Tyrant Antagonist". Satyr was amused by this nickname, and always used it when he had the chance. His life was pretty repetitive for the next few years. But, the author of his life pulled a reverse Romeo and Juliet when Satyr was 19. Like we probably know, in R&J, Romeo and Juliet wanted to get married, and everyone else didn't want them to. In this case, Satyr was forced to marry Lyrasia, the daughter of the king from a seperate kingdom, when he never actually loved her. This was done because Silus wanted another ally to assist in the wars they were fighting. Satyr was constantly fed up with the woman, and wanted to avoid her at any possible chance. He treasured his peace and quiet like it was pure gold, and began talking with random things that he sees in his room. That was when he met one of his long-lasting friends. A wasp was resting on the wall, and from Lyrasia's fear of anything that could do any damage at all, she nearly swat the thing. Satyr forced her to not touch the wasp, since it wasn't doing any harm at all. Over the next few years, the wasp never really did anything harmful. Satyr even was feeding it to keep it alive, and by then, he had to give it a name. Stistenagon, which at the time seemed like such a large name for such a little creature, was his name. Stistenagon amost seemed like it understood Satyr, and never left the room. Now, One thing so coincidental happened at Satyr's 20th Birthday. No celebration was held, but he wished that he could leave these wretched beings and their ruined planet. He never believed that wishing for such a thing won't work, but it was worth a shot. The following day, a Pitch-black, but still glowing, substance entered the atmosphere, and slammed through the King's throne. The object was a Meteor that was made of an undefined element, but, this element created a neon-green mist. Every scientist in the town gathered to find out what this Meteor was made out of, and what it could do. After a month of testing, it was discovered that the mist could possibly greatly intesify the magical, mental, and physical properties of anypony when it was compressed into a fine liquid and then consumed. King Silus nearly drunk the entire supply of the liquid, but was stopped for a good reasoning. The liquid wasn't tested on a living being, so it might kill whatever ate it. Therefore, Satyr was used to test the effects of the liquid, since it was virtually a win-win situation whether he died or not. The Liquid did indeed kill him. The liquid dissolved his heart, lungs, liver, and basically everything inside of him exept for his skeleton and brain. It was, however, replace with a multi-purpose organ, that functioned like every organ on steroids. The Heart area pumped blood quicker, the lung area actually generated oxygen for his cells, and it supercharged his brain and horn. Satyr can now really be called a Demi-god, since he is basically a superpony that is nearly immortal. Silus forced him to search for a planet that could support pony life, so they could colonize it. But, Since they were now the inferior being, Satyr refused, destroyed most of what remained of the liquid and meteorite, took Stistenagon, and headed off into space. He gave what was left of the liquid to Stistenagon, which basically made it a giant wasp that could communicate with anypony or anything by telepathy. Skipping over most of the unimportant details, Satyr created a platform where he was to live (His "Long-term Outpost"), and skipping over more unimportant details, he discovered Equestria's solar system, and was kindly greeted by everypony there. More happened from then on, but It would take too much time to explain.
