Scarlet Paterfeild

Appearance: Base color is red, mane and tail are a yellowish gold color, wings have a gold outline along the edges, mane is tattered, one eye is yellow and the other eye is blue, top half of her left ear is missing.

Cutie Mark: A pair of binoculars. Scarlet has above average eye sight and is very observant.

Personality: Scarlet does not fit well along other ponies mainly since she has a very poor understanding of basic social etiquette. She uses body language to communicate most of the time but does have the ability to speak English on a lesser level. She does not have manners at all so other Ponies often get the impression that she is a jerk. Scarlet is always alert and pays attention to details all the time which sometimes involves staring other Ponies down if they look suspicious. She acts overly bold a lot of the time which intimidates others quite often and makes them shy away. Scarlet acts very quickly most of the time and will sometimes run out in the middle of a conversation if she sees something interesting or notices a problem. She is not good at thinking before acting so she normally faces problems head on without much of a plan on how to fix them. She does not care at all of how other Ponies think of her. Since Scarlet is not good with dealing with others, she spends a fair amount of her time outside of society.

Backstory: Scarlet was adopted by a couple of Earth Ponies who owned a river navigation company. Scarlet's parents never loved her too much but she got along well by meeting up with foals from other families around the town. At the age of 8 Scarlet and her parents were stranded in the Everfree Forrest after her father refused to see out his boating company. They were attacked by Timber Wolfs and Scarlet was left behind in the confusion. The Wolfs cut off part of her ear but a pair of Phoenix heard the fight and scared off the Wolves before they could do any more damage. The Phoenix realized that Scarlet would been doomed if nobody helped her so they decided to take her in. Scarlet eventually accepted them as her new family and lived with them for the next 27 years. <br /> <br />Eventually, she stumbled across an abandoned building which had an old map which had directions on how to get back to society. She found her way to Manehatten but was unable to cope with modern society. When she was about to give up and leave for good, she met a few Zebra's who were going to get supplies to bring home. She liked them much more then the other Ponies because they did not treat her like a nutcase and shy away because of how odd she acted. She then decided to follow them back to their village and see if she would get along better with them. <br /> <br />The Zebra's much more simple and traditional way of life appealed to Scarlet so she decided to live in the Zebra village. She proved herself worthy as a village member by fending off wild animals and scouting out resources.
