Appearance: Her cutie mark is a diary with a broken lock. (I couldn't find one that worked well for the image)
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a diary with a broken lock. However, she has never told anypony what it means, except one.
Personality: Scire is mute. So, of course, she is quiet; she can't help it. She is also shy, avoiding contact with ponies as much as she can. Whether this is because she is ashamed of her muteness or for another reason, nopony is sure. There are certainly plenty of rumors.

She is kind, and fairly smart as ponies go, though not having any special kind of intellect. She is also very weak, and doesn't know much magic besides basic spells like levitation and light.
Backstory: After Scire was born, ponies soon realized that she did not like to be touched. She didn't mind ponies being around, but any physical contact caused the foal to cry, strangely without any screaming; just tears.

Her parents soon found the reason for the lack of noise: she was mute. Her vocal chords had not developed properly, and so she was unable to make any vocal noises.

Also strangely, as soon as the filly Scire was able to walk, she made sure to avoid all contact with other ponies herself. Her parents worried about her, but when they asked her to tell them why she did it she just shook her head.

Then, when she was just entering school, her parents died in a terrible accident. Scire disappeared for the rest of her childhood, despite attempts to find her by the authorities and family friends. Nopony knows where she went or why. She reappeared as a mare in early adulthood, but staying unseen as much as possible, and avoiding contact, as always.

She lives with a stallion who is equally as weird as her, named Phalanx. He is a very large stallion who is also the only pony Scire seems to be comfortable touching, and acts as her bodyguard, of sorts.

When Scire needs to communicate with ponies, she uses her notebook that she carries with her at all times, writing words in it and then displaying it to the pony long enough for them to read.
