Appearance: A Thin, off white Stallion with short, Straw-colored Hair and a moustache.

Cutie Mark: An Anchor. It not only symbolises the fact that he is a sailor, but also that he is a good pony to cling to in times of crisis.

Personality: Salt is a good natured individual, and finds immense amounts of humor in life's little absurdities. He is always willing to lend a hoof to anypony who needs it. However, he becomes extremely insulted if you dare to question his honor.

Backstory: Once a Sailor for the royal navy, He had the misfortune of being selected for a mission that went horribly wrong. Desperate to save their own hides, His superiors chose to pin the blame for the failure on him. Betrayed by his country and set to be executed, Salt fled, choosing to join the crew of the very pirate it had once been his mission to bring to justice. (An ironic twist that he came to find extraordinarily amusing)
