Appearance: Selene is a vashti, a race of cat-like, amphibious ocean-dwelling creatures, native to Equestrian waters, that spend their time hunting for fish and socializing with random sailors. Their skin changes color and pattern according to mood, as do their eyes.<br /><br />The species is also a race of hermaphrodites, though many of them express traits that are normally associated with females. Pictured above is a vashti, her skin colored orange with curiosity.

Personality: Selene is, on the outside, very average for a vashti. Carefree, ditzy, and naïve... but, in secret, she's actually quite intelligent, cunning even. She possesses some amount of magical power, allowing her to, among other things, levitate objects and people, channeling such spells through her eyes.

Backstory: Selene is, like many vashti, a person who simply goes wherever the wind (or the sight of a shiny object) takes them.<br /><br />(For After Destiny:) She ended up on Icarus base by mere chance, having stumbled into a shuttle to the Daedalus. Once there, she wandered around aimlessly, and as the base was attacked, she, in panic during the evacuation, snuck through the Stargate. She's been hiding amongst the ship ever since.
