Appearance: Serenity is a slightly small unicorn, but her presence and beauty more than compensates. She is a pale lavender in coat and has bright blue eyes and a blonde mane that is wavy and hangs all the way to her hooves. She wears an elaborate white sacrificial gown that almost looks like a wedding dress. Occasionally, she will wear a small, silver tiara with a tiny gem that is a pale clear-gold, almost like a piece of starlight. Her entire body seems to shine when placed in natural light, but otherwise is dull and gloomy.

Cutie Mark: Serenity’s cutie mark is a circle that is half sun (left) and half moon (right). On the sun there are three rays and beside the moon there are three stars. This mark represents Serenity’s ability to use light and her need for it to be effective at her magic.

Personality: Like her name, Serenity is calm and peaceful. She rarely raises her voice and it’s almost impossible for her to lose her temper. However, she is fairly sickly when not exposed to natural life, and does not often even have the effort to do either.<br /><br />Despite her good looks, she spends very little time on her appearance, and does not seem to have any drive for romance. Her social skills are fairly poor as she prefers to stay silent when possible. It is rumoured that she is a princess from another land, though that has remained a mystery due to her lack of comment. (It is only partially true.)<br /><br />She often is seen outdoors and seems to dislike being inside; it’s mostly at night that you are able to, and she has a fondness for hills.<br /><br />Serenity loathes the dark – if she is unable to see the moon, she will fly into a blind panic and becomes terrified of something, even with things like lanterns. <br /><br />She is very loyal to the alicorn sisters Celestia and Luna and it is also rumoured that she personally knows them. She always attends ceremonies involving them.<br /><br />Get to know Serenity, and you will find that she has an incredibly high weakness for those who have had difficult lives. However, she becomes very vulnerable once she has become attached to someone, and can easily be deceived by people pretending to be in need.<br /><br />Serenity also is a good cook and a strong herbalist with powerful restoration magic and is particular towards healing magic. <br /><br />Even though she loves on the outskirts of a forest, she’s scared of animals and other species, especially griffins, even though she’s soft at heart for bat ponies.

Backstory: Serenity is not the simple unicorn that she seems; in fact, she is many thousands of years old and was, in fact, a stark supporter of the Princess Luna – before she was back in Equestria.<br /> <br />See, Serenity is a star.<br /> <br />When the Princess was trapped on the moon, she became good friends with the stars, who felt pity for the poor and still young pony. The stars would gather every night around their new friend, who spun tales of the wicked tyranny of the Sun Princess, Celestia, and the lack of appreciation for the beautiful night.<br /> <br />The stars, who had always been angry that they were only seen a few hours a day and even then often ignored by the sleeping creatures below, agreed. Their common injustice rallied them around their new leader, who began to take on a nightmare-like new form; the dreaded Nightmare Moon.<br /> <br />Serenity was a star responsible for dreams under Luna’s command; her and the rest of her team would spread dreams among them (the ponies) of the day in a thousand years when they would finally be able to aid their queen in her escape. Once the legend had been sown, they created vivid nightmares every so often, promising vengeance. <br /> <br />This continued for the centuries, over which Serenity’s organizational powers grew until she was nearly at the top of the line of command of the army of stars. While she was never close to the Princess Luna, she was always very loyal and was rewarded for this by ranking. She continued to prepare for the attacks until the day came.<br /> <br />Once the thousandth year finally arrived, everything was in place; however, once Luna had safely arrived as Nightmare Moon, the unexpected arrival of the Elements of Harmony began to rip things apart. While the other stars watched from their prison above, breathless, Serenity decided to make the ultimate decision and the biggest sacrifice.<br /> <br />That being, of course, that she would fall to earth as a shooting star.<br /> <br />The change is not only painful but permanent; once she reaches Equestria, she would no longer be able to return to the heavens. <br /><br />Her landing, however, took much longer than she expected – due to the nature of space, it was in fact another ten years before she got there. By the time she had landed, Luna had already fully reformed, and was not pleased to see one of her former helpers, and denied all the claims of the heartbroken Serenity, who was scorned by the court and asked to leave and not return.<br /><br />Now left without any credibility and stuck on a world without the help of her former leader, Serenity moved as far away from Canterlot as possible and locked herself away in the Glowing Forest, which only has mysterious, moon-loving plants. Due to the incredible healing powers of the mysterious Crescent Tree within the forest depths, which can restore the health to any ailment, it is often called “Salvation”. To this day, Serenity will see ponies enter her forest, only to get lost in the maze-like qualities. <br />
