Appearance: A pitch black unicorn seemingly an earth pony. Wears a white hood to hid his horn. a white mane with a dark blue streak through the middle, his mane is short but goes beyond the back of his hood.

Personality: Timid like Fluttershy, kind like her as well. He is smart, when getting to know some-pony he eases up and turns less shy, only to the so-called pony though. Protective to hide his horn.

Backstory: Shallow Heart is a shy colt released from the darkness in the Crystal Empire. Unlike his father, King Sombra he is ashamed of his power he holds within him. As he can't control it if it will unleash. He was released but, was forgotten and raised by himself. <br /><br />Upon reaching Ponyville from train he was by then good friends with the conductor who made him a hood to hide his red horn. The iconic sign of King Sombra. With this he was so shy he was never talked to until he was adopted by the local musician Octavia Melody. Making him Shallow Heart Melody. Very few knows his darkened secrets of his family.<br /><br />The scar on his face was given when he refused to do anymore work for the day. His father grabbed the same scalpel that was used to cut wings off Pegasi's wings, and cut his cheek to show the wrong he has done. Now, this is just a reminder of his father's wrong doings.
