Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is suppose to be a comet. This reflects his personality having magical talent, but very shy, like a comet soars through the sky by itself holding magical power.

Personality: Shimmer has much knowledge about magic in all it's forms, but he is very shy and has difficulty developing friendships. I take this character to heart because I based his personality to mine very closely

Backstory: Shimmer had a difficult childhood, being unable to have a social connection with others because he was so terrified of ridicule. He spends most of his time reading magic books and perfecting his skill. He never went to the Canterlot magic academy like other ponies have, instead he home schooled himself through books and some knowledge from his mother.<br /><br />He lost his father when he was just a filly and the experience scarred him in a way that will never heal. He lived outside of Ponyville until he got a recommendation to see Twilight. He went forward with this and she gave Shimmer the courage to talk with people and make friends. He now owns a house in Ponyville and has made new friends with his neighbors.
