Appearance: He is a purple unicorn with a green mane/tail and cyan eyes. He is a bit tall for his age but, a little on the skinny side.

Cutie Mark: An Emerald it stands for his love of Alchemy (Chemistry).

Personality: He is shy and is the typical Chemistry nerd, but he tries to socialize anyway even if his fears get in the way.

Backstory: He is an only child and his mother died when he was young so his father was the one who mainly raised him. When growing up Emerald often would join his father in his lab, there Emerald would learn first hand what colts twice his age were just reading about in textbooks when it came to Alchemy. It is also in his fathers lab, while growing crystals, that Emerald got his cutie mark. From then on he used worked hard to heighten his skills and eventually was a master at Alchemy just like his father, now he runs his own shop in Ponyville where he tries his best to meet other ponies and make new friends.
