Backstory: as a colt, Shining strike had no friends because of his differences. from his bat wings to his zebra pattern to his curved horns, he was made fun of these things. eventually, with no friends to make him happy, his rage manifested into power and he turned into the king of diversity, spreading the knowledge that people's differences can be used to their advantage.
