Personality: Silver Quill is an introverted unicorn who does not spend much time around other ponies, except for a few select friends. This is not because he doesn't like people or because he is shy, he just does not feel comfortable around a lot of ponies at one time. He is well-read and intelligent, but can be quite sceptical at times. He isn't the greatest magician ever, however since he has read many books on the topic of magic he can use his magic quite well, although he seldom uses anything besides a simple telekinesis spell.

Backstory: Silver Quill was born to missionary parents in Saddle Arabia, where he spent much of his time growing up. It was there that he discovered his special talent while writing letters to a penpal in Manehattan in which he spent much time describing, in excessive detail, his experiences.<br />When he was 12 his family moved back to Equestria and settled down in Ponyville, where he devoted much of his time to reading and studying, making few friends. When Twilight Sparkle ascended to princess-hood, he took over her position as caretaker of the library, even though she still lives there. He now works most days keeping the shelves tidy and the books in order, as well as writing short stories that he publishes in the Ponyville Express from time to time.
