Cutie Mark: None, not only is he not a pony, but he's dead as well.
Personality: Silver Quill is a rather odd spirit, always acting aloof and carefree, even during the most dire situations. This is due to his mentality, as he believes that since he's already dead, and there for cannot die again, why bother worrying? Yet despite Silver's usually calm and uncaring demeanor, there lies a deep well of sorrow...
Backstory: Silver used to be an amateur author before the great mushroom war, happily spending his days writing adventure and fantasy novels with his loving girlfriend, Selena. Silver and Selena always coauthored the books together, and dreamed of one day writing the best adventure book in history.

However, the day that Silver and Selena were to begin writing their dream novel, the apocalypse had started, and Silver only had the title written on the cover, before the nukes ravaged the land, killing him and his girlfriend. Silver didn't expect to wake up, but when he did, he discovered that he was now a ghost. However, Silver was too shocked and grief stricken by the death of his girlfriend and destruction of everything he knew, to actually care. All Silver had left, was a silver writing quill that Selena had given him on his birthday, and the empty book that he and his beloved had dreamed of completing together.

With nothing left to do, Silver floated onward for what seemed like weeks, until finally stumbling upon an abandoned castle, overlooking a cliff face, that somehow survived that nuclear onslaught. Silver then spent millennia wandering through the halls of the castle, grieving his loved ones death, and simultaneously searching for a spark of inspiration to base the plot of their book on.

Even well into the ages of the land now called Ooo, Silver still continues to wander the halls in deep thought, rarely leaving the confines of the castle, to observe the odd evolution of the world outside the castle walls. Even now, the eternal author continues his final book, hoping to finish his unfinished business, and pass on into the next world, where he hopes to see Selena again.
