      Species: Unicorn

      Appearance: Body: Dark blue skin with a black mane and tail. Incredibly flexible, and capable of surprising body maneuvers. Exceptionally fit and agile from moving all throughout Equestria. Well toned and muscular, and is slightly stronger than the average mare physically. Has great stamina, high pain tolerance and average endurance, although she bruises easily when it comes to being hurt. Carries bangles on her front left leg, and one earring in her right ear.<br /><br />Eyes: Dark blue. Usually, they’re slanted and half lidded, which, along with her trademark smirk, give the impression that she’s silently mocking you.<br /><br />Voice: <br />“You take whatever you can get from life. If you couldn’t take it, then you weren’t strong enough. Stop whining about it and get better.”<br /><br />Her voice starts out even and keeps a flat, consistent tone throughout. Sounds very rough and slightly masculine (like a husky amazon XD). Puts emphasis on the words in a sentence randomly.

      Personality: She's always eager to be out, doing something. The nomadic life suits her well in that sense, as she loves traveling and open spaces, and hates the idea of sitting around and doing nothing. In general, she's very impatient, usually wanting to stay anywhere only long enough to fulfill her goals. <br /><br />One of the few exceptions to this rule is when she's working. When in the middle of something, she sits down and doesn't go anywhere as she gets to work. She gets an incredibly short fuse, and has little tolerance for high energy antics. She'll ignore anyone who attempts to attract her attention, and that is the first and only warning she gives. Repeat attempts to get her attention will end miserably or violently for those involves, before she goes back to work.<br /><br />Acts amiable to strangers and ponies in a position of power. Respect is something that's very valuable in a nomadic lifestyle, as you never know when you'll run into trouble or need favors. She likes to keep those cards in her deck, though respect runs on a case by case basis; just because you're one of the above doesn't mean you'll automatically get a pass from her. She's not afraid to put ponies in their places if need be, no matter their position.<br /><br />She's noponies definition of "Honorable." Living on the land and being paid on the whims of others, she's learned to do what she has to do to get by. Lying, cheating, and stealing aren't beneath her if the situation calls for it. It's left her on the run on more than one occasion, and has made her a bit of a loner, with friends few and far between. That's just the way she prefers it; sentimental attachments are a weakness in her eyes, and they hinder her freedom and goals, so she tries not to build any in the first place.<br /><br />In the magical field, she's analytically gifted, constantly trying new ways to re-work the spells she's been given. She enjoys solving tough problems, and can spend hours going over a spell in an attempt to draw out its practical applications. It's something that she gives absolute concentration to, to the point where she may not sleep, eat, or even notice others around her until she's done.<br /><br />She enjoys fighting. On the battlefield, she's incredibly crafty, and likes to mock and belittle opponents in order to throw them off. She likes control, and is not above using dirty tactics in order to unbalance her opponents. Prefers illusions and barriers, only really getting into heavily offensive tactics if the latter isn't working.<br /><br />Strengths:<br />In general, she's incredibly intelligent, and is capable of thinking herself through most situations, if she can keep a cool head. Has a near eidetic memory, and has very versatile skills from all of the assorted jobs that she’s pulled over the years. Has survival practice from constant traveling through Equestria, and is agile with good endurance. Has slight resistance to cold temperatures and can stay underwater for a long period of time due to her water affinity. She’s gifted with rune work and spellworking in general.<br /><br />Weaknesses:<br />She’s too hot-headed and can be goaded sometimes. She hates losing to unicorns because of a belief instilled in her by her brother that she's inadequate as a unicorn, one that she takes seriously. She takes almost excessive joy in showing them up, as well as any braggarts she happens to come across.<br /><br />She doesn't take to insults in general very well. In particular, judgments and under-assumptions about her skills and magical abilities irritate her, leading her to become excessively emotional at times.<br /><br />Likes: Blue, because it’s the color of water, and black, because it’s sedate and matches her body.<br />Apples.       Backstory: Sleight Mist's life would grow to be defined by<br />her own actions, but greatly influenced by her half brother. From the youngest age, she struck an aggressive rivalry with him, baited by his constant assertions that she was worthless because of her half-unicorn, half-pegasus blood. Though that would remain to be seen in any capacity, it didn't matter to her; she set out to prove that he was wrong, and did so with a fiery passion.<br /><br />Her first start, naturally then, was school. Sleight Mist had an uncanny interest in magical arts, particularly in defensive spells and illusions. She did exceptionally, even earning her cutie mark in that particular field, by creating a mist spell that covered the school (and caused her quite a bit of trouble in the long run.) But, no matter how well she did, she never quite felt satisfied with her work. For her, good was never good enough, and, eventually she dropped out, still feeling like a failure despite her talents.<br /><br />So began her dark days. She had had a few years to dwell on her obsession with defeating her brother, and it didn't take her long to find coming home that he had left home a little after she had, becoming a mercenary and living off the land. She didn't waste any time in chasing after him, jealousy clouding her inhibitions and common sense. So it was that she became a freelancer, living off the land while she consistently searched for him.<br /><br />It was a process that would go on for years, ending roughly the same way every time; she'd pass through towns, searching for him, and doing whatever she needed to make money. She'd find him eventually, the two would clash it out, usually in the middle of a crowded area, and he would always escape, starting the cycle over as she once again hunted him down. This would go on for years, until...<br /><br />One night, passing through an odd hospital in a secluded forest, Sleight Mist felt something thump into the back of her cart. Stopping in the back to check it, the shivering figure of Anette clutching her dolls for dear life phased her in a way that she didn't expect. The sight of the scientists running out after her didn't do much more than put the nail in the coffin; she took off well before they got there, taking Anette with her.<br /><br />She had meant to drop her off in the next town, but Anette grew had already on her well before that time., and would continue to do so. When it finally did come time to drop her off, Anette refused, and after a tense stand-off, Sleight Mist realized she no longer had the heart to refuse her, or to drop her off in a strange place alone. Reluctantly, or so she would have liked to believe, she took her with her.<br /><br />This would turn out to be the second major shifting point in Sleight Mist's life. She had still continued her search for her brother, seemingly without care for who she was with, but after an intense stand off with her brother which left Anette heavily injured, she realized at long last what her actions might cost her, now that she something to lose. As Anette had grown so close to her after more than a year of traveling, she agonized over it, but eventually, she came to a concrete decision; the price of vengeance wasn't worth it. She, on that day, decided to bury the hatchet with her brother, and with it, her jealousy, permanently. In her eyes, he would forever remain dead... and Sleight Mist was okay with that now.<br /><br />She still travels Equestria, though now more at her own leisure than out of any emotional drive.
