Appearance: A shimmering white mane hanging down to her shoulders, a gleaming coat matted with ice droplets, a broken bluish-pale horn, and an arrogant, sober attitude: you know you've found Snow Shine. Her face, most of the time, is cruel and mocking; calm, placid, yet not unhandsome. Snow wears thick, black metal horseshoes to protect herself against the cold she embraces.
Cutie Mark: Snow Shine's cutie mark is a snowflake dripping with icicles. Snow obtained her cutie mark during her seventh winter in the arctic, when she found she was extraordinarily fleet-footed and comfortable on the ice, as well as possessing limited control over it.
Personality: Cold, frosty, and aloof... most of the time, Often, Shine doesn't care about other's feelings. However, she has a soft spot for non-pony creatures, seeming to get along with them much better than her horse counterparts. Snow is intolerant of most things - and she likes to voice her opinion about most things. Despite all this, Snow isn't an evil monster... she just hasn't discovered true friendship yet.
Backstory: Snow Shine was born in the arctic, after the disappearance of the Crystal Empire, but before its return. She obtained her cutie mark there (see above) and became an ice miner, searching for precious metals and rare crystals.

It was on her twenty-second birthday that the miner camp was attacked by creatures of darkness. A true believer in friendship, Snow used extremely powerful snow magic to drive back the shadow monsters - yet at a price. Using such power caused her horn to break, leaving only a broken half-horn where it once used to be. Shine made camp. After several weeks, when her friends didn't come back for her, she became angry, and shattered - just like her horn. Snow fled to Ponyville, where she found that her fellow miners had stayed for a few nights, before heading for Saddle Arabia.

She almost followed them, yet instead stayed in Ponyville. She lurked, most of the time, in the Everfree forest, hoping to find magic strong enough to repair her horn, so she can take vengeance.

Yet what magic is powerful enough to repair a broken pony's soul?

Relationships with the Mane 6:

Twilight Sparkle: Snow appreciates her fellow unicorn, (though they aren't really friends) especially one so versed in magic as Twilight. She would do anything to attain power such as that.

Applejack: Snow is tolerant of strength and the ability to endure, though she detests apples.

Rainbow Dash: Snow is annoyed by Rainbow Dash's cockiness as much as RD is irritated with her. Shine was once knocked down and humiliated by Rainbow when she mocked pegasi, the "ponies with their heads in the clouds". Snow generally avoids Dash, if she can help it.

Pinkie Pie: Snow is morbidly fascinated with Pinkie, unsure how she does some of the things she does, yet unable to understand them. Snow mostly avoids Pinkie.

Rarity: Snow is disgusted with this unicorn, who uses her magic for creating clothing, though she does grudgingly admit finding jewels with magic is neat... and profitable.

Fluttershy: Snow avoids Fluttershy, though they share the common interest in non-pony animals.
