Snuggle Breeze
By . eris .
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Species: Pegasus
Appearance: Snuggle Breeze is barely half-grown, being only a teenager, so she has plenty of filly chub surrounding her gawky length of bone. In a few years, she may grow up to look quite attractive, but for now she's content with her teenager look.

She has a long, ice blue mane that is cut straight across, and often hangs in her eyes. Her eyes are bottle green and very lively, and her coat is a deep pink color. Usually her mane is a bit mussed and her coat a little scruffy, simply because she's absentminded about keeping herself tidy. When she does wash up, behold, the duckling becomes a swan!
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a purple splotch of paint with the Thalia and Melpomene drama masks.

She discovered her cutie mark purely by accident one day, humming along and thinking up stories in her head. Snuggle Breeze, unlike her other companions, wasn't too bothered about her blank flank since she spent more time alone than anything. She came upon a group of ponies and wanted to play, but since she had few social skills at the time, she didn't know how to ask.

The other foals were young and disorganized, and when she finally scraped up the courage, Snuggle went over to them and started to explain one of her favorite games. The other foals, used to playing tag and hide-and-go-seek, were bewildered by Snuggle's pantomimes. To her, games meant acting out parts and creating plays, long melodramas with abrupt endings, usually with everybody dead.

As she stood on a stump and began assigning parts, her flank sizzled oddly. Thinking it was the sun, she ignored it until the next day when she was in the tub, and realized that she had gotten her cutie mark. Drama has always been her great love from then on.
Personality: She's a very likable pony as people go; Snuggle is easy to please and likes to please others, and is generally surrounded by a group of friends. Her love of plays and drama led her to be a voracious reader growing up, learning different characters and adopting silly voices to read things aloud. Because of this, she is one of the most requested foalsitters in her neighborhood, since she's excellent with foals and they adore her.

Publically, Snuggle is very optimistic and upbeat, always smiling cheekily and quoting some obscure play. But at home with her extensive family, they've seen her pessimistic side, the side where she will sulk in a corner for hours because someone didn't laugh at her jokes. Reading too much at a young age gave her a slightly cynical worldview when it comes to other ponies, and romantically her standards are impossibly high. Still, her darker side is very rarely exposed, and most people know her as an outgoing, easy-to-like pony.

Unlike most aspiring actresses, Snuggle is terrified of performing on stage. A spontaneous song and dance routine in front of her family and friends, that's nothing. But rehearsing and practicing her lines generally make her stiff with fear, which is the reason she isn't pursuing acting as a career. Her conflicting emotions regarding her desire to perform often drives her into periods of frustration; her cutie mark demands that she perform, and she loves to do so, but whenever she gets on stage she freezes.

Because of her stage fright, she's drifted more into reading and attempting to write, although she gets bored with the former and frustrated by the latter. She has an aversion to repetitive, miniscule tasks and dislikes sitting still for long periods of time. Her sweet tooth will be the death of her - or her figure - since her impulse control is markedly low.

Being the center of attention - literally and metaphorically - has become a habit for her, and being shoved aside in favor of someone else can be quite wounding.
Backstory: Snuggle is the youngest girl in a large extended family, even though she only has one other sibling. The Breezes are a very tightly knit family, and Snuggle grew up smothered in attention from aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. Being an artistic family, they welcomed her creative, spontaneous spirit and for a long time Snuggle thought she would tour Equestria singing and dancing.

But when she was picked for the lead part in her school play, she discovered her Achilles' heel: actually performing. She fled the stage, humiliated and near tears, and vowed never to set foot on a stage again.

Of course, her strong desire to make people happy and entertain never went away, but it was tempered by her previous experience. Because of her crushed ego, she's never gone back to stage and is focusing on honing her writing skills.

Romantically, there's been very little action, but not for lack of trying. Snuggle falls in love deeply and quickly, and will crush hopelessly on celebrity ponies and friends alike. Thankfully, she's never embarrassed herself and can keep her feelings secret for the most part. Before too long, her crush has faded away and it's off to greener pastures. She keeps thinking she'll find that one special somepony, but the hope decreases by the day.
