Appearance: In the event that Solaire is not wearing his armor (A very rare event indeed) his changeling form is somewhat different then those of his brothers and sisters. <br /><br />Not only does he appear physically stronger then the standard changeling, his mane and tail are bright blonde (Since blonde is not a natural color in changelings, anyone who knows anything about Changelings will be able to figure out that he dyes both of them blonde.) <br /><br />Solaire also appears to have a cutie mark of a sun against a white background on his flank.

Cutie Mark: Like all Changelings, Solaire doesn't a real cutie mark. However, he did have a tattoo of the sun against a white background placed on both his flanks anyway as a personal method of proving his loyalty to the Goddess of the Sun to himself.

Personality: A devote paladin of the Goddess Celestia (and to a lesser degree, Goddesses Luna and Cadance as well)Solaire would do just about anything in order to prove that even a creature born and raised in the darkest of shadows like himself could earn a place in the warm and loving glow of the light. <br /><br />On a never ending personal quest to seek redemption for the actions and crimes he committed before he had a chance to see the light, Solaire is prone standing up for those that others are often regarding as utter monsters while giving them a chance to prove themselves and earn their own places in the light as well. <br /><br />This offer will only be given to those he believes are honestly willing to seek redemption; a Sadist who does horrible things for fun wouldn't get this offer.

Backstory: Solaire's early life was not that much different then any other Changeling's. His name in his youth was Shadow and he was raised by the ideology of Queen Chrysalis like many other 'good' Changelings. <br /><br />During his first real mission for the hive, Shadow worked alongside three other Changelings (One of whom was a younger brother) in order to -remove- a city ruler and replace them with one of their agents without anyone noticing thanks to the chaos and confusion of the Summer Festival in praise of Princess Celestia that was taking place. <br /><br />Merely another pony in the crowd, the disguised Shadow bore witness to the arrival of Princess Celestia herself as she heralded in the dawn. That fated moment changed Shadow's life forever. <br /><br />Bathed in light, Shadow had to close his eyes and turn away because it was simply too bright for him to gaze into, but even without seeing it he could feel the warmth and the love penetrate his very being, reveling everything he had been raised to believe were warmth or love to be nothing more then the twisted shadows they were. And it didn't ask anything in return for giving him such a gift...<br /><br />What details of what happened next were kind of a blur, but the end result was two of his fellow changelings being dead by his hoof when they attacked him after he demanded that they abandon the mission and leave peacefully, his younger brother having left to go back home after taking his advice and Shadow submitting himself in his true form before the Goddess of the Sun herself in all her glory, begging for the chance to redeem himself for pretty much his entire life up until that point. <br /><br />For reasons he doesn't really know, Celestia accepted him. Unwilling to betray such an act of trust that had been offered to him, Shadow renamed himself Solaire and has dedicated himself to being a paladin in Princess Celestia's name.
