Appearance: Solar Sentinel is a large Pegasus Stallion with a white coat with a Royal Blue and White mane.

Cutie Mark: Solar's Cutie is a golden shield with a sun behind it showcasing his talent is guarding Celestia.<br />

Personality: Solar Sentinel can best be described as gung-ho. He is very excited for his chance to be a Royal Guard and prove himself. He is very brave and can sometimes jump into a situation without thinking. He is very prideful when it comes to his family history.<br /><br />He is very loyal to the Royal Guard and has been known to put its best interests in front of his own.<br /><br />He is very open to making new friends, however it take a while for him to get to know somepony. He is outgoing for his friends and will do almost anything for them.<br /><br />Around mares, he can sometimes make a fool of himself as he has trouble putting his feelings into words and often puts his hoof in his mouth.<br /><br />He can sometimes be absent minded when he gets excited, running on adrenalin.<br /><br />He is very polite, Using Sir and Mam allot.

Backstory: Solar Sentinel is second generation Royal Guard. His father was one of Celestia's personal guard ponies. <br /><br />As a young colt, Solar did not understand why his father was always away form him and his mother, often blaming the guard.<br /><br />As he grew older, Solar's mother took him to the Summer Sun Celebration to see his father work and explain how important his father's job is to keeping Equestria safe. As the Celebration ended, they stuck around to meet up with his father when he got off his shift. As Solar's father escorted Celestia, the Princess winked at the colt. In his heart it was almost as if she was letting him know he was next. <br /><br />As Solar grew older, his father would get him into the Equestrian Military Academy where he worked hard to impress his father, earning a commission in the Royal Guard. <br /><br />Through years of hard work, Solar eventually made the rank of Lt. and became head of the 743rd Sky Guard and one of Celestia's most trusted body guards, being chosen for delicate missions as well as the most dangerous.
