Appearance: Soul is a simple earth pony, with lightly long red mane and the neat blue fur, his eyes rest easy, along with being a deep shade of brown.

Cutie Mark: Soul's cutie mark shows his love for sword fighting, and the wish to protect those he cares about, along with the job he retains as a guard.

Personality: Soul is a kind young lad, a cheerful boy. Yet he can sometimes act a little bit hotheaded.<br /><br />Soul is normally calm and kind, yet when people mess with him he can grow rather angry, even though he attempts to keep it tame and toned down inside him, overall he is nice, caring, yet he dislikes those who bother him to much.

Backstory: His mother and father started out as two guards for the princess of the sun, but as Souls' mother didn't wish to keep er child with a babysitter, she managed to convince her husband to be a stay at home husband, but with a light twist. with the arrangement of Celestia and the captain of the guards, they where allowed to switch out every two weeks, eventually as Soul was born, it began normally. Mother took care of him, and then when she was better, father took care. Soul grew up with a somewhat strict life, yet his parents did allow him to do as he wished at times.<br /><br /><br />Soul eventually grew up, enjoying many books that his parents 'borrow' from canterlot castles libary. Eventually he began to learn about black smithing. He learnt just enough to be able to make a sword. His parents where..skeptical. Alas, Soul hoped he got his cutie mark, only to be saddened as it didn't work for him. but eventually as he turned 12, his father and mother thought it was time to allow him to choose what job they may want. he choose what they did, to be a royal guard.<br /><br /><br />His mother and father didn't give him any promises, but they did begin to train him. he showed skill in using his sword. he wasn't the best, but he began to show nice talent. Eventually after many hard works and many days. He grew up, soon becoming very talented in staying still, guarding and using a sword.<br /><br />he gained his cutie mark, as he turned 16. his parents celebrated via a party, his cutie mark showing two swords crossed against eachother. Representing his fighting skills with a sword, he didn't understand why it had a second sword. But in a try to understand, he tried to use two swords..which lead to a failure, but after a few cuts and bruises after many days, he learned to use two swords, one with his mouth and another with his hoof. His father and mother always watched him. Making sure he had safety with those weaponry. Sometimes making sure to switch them with fakes. So he isn't to harmed.<br /><br /><br />Soon enough, Soul was 17. out of highschool, and on his way to becoming a guard. It will be a hard journey for him, but with determination, i'm sure he can do it. I mean if a guy like Shining made it to be captain, then Soul could atleast be a lower ranked.
