Appearance: He is a dark grey bat pony with a spiky, slightly messy black-blue mane. Gold eyes and dark blue wings.

Personality: Spectre has a serious personality. He doesn't come across as friendly and doesn't smile often. He usually has a bored or almost angry expression, being stoic and antisocial.<br />He's become adept at hiding his emotions. <br />He tends to lash out violently when someone angers him unless he trust them. The only one who he can open up to and trust completely is his best friend Emerald Star who he knew ever since they were young. <br /><br />He's awkward and clueless when it comes to social interactions and things like relationships, and seems to be disinterested in those things. Spectre prefers solitude sometimes, and doesn't like to receive or give any kind of affection. So he doesn't return any of Emerald's advances, much to her frustration. But he does care about her a lot and want to protect her.<br /><br />He's loyal to a fault to Luna, the guard, and his friends, and he would risk his life for them without hesitating.<br /><br />Having spent most of his life in the dark, he doesn't like sunlight very much but puts up with it when he has to.

Backstory: ~under construction~<br />His father was a member of the Lunar Guard, so as a bat pony, he knew what path his life would follow from a young age. He knew nothing but a militaristic lifestyle for years and was fairly isolated. His mother had become detached and hardly present after Spectre's fathers' death, so their relationship was never very close. His father Tempest died in battle when there was a threat in Equestria. <br />As a colt he met Emerald Star while wandering the caves after she was being punished for severely injuring another colt in self-defense. She was confused and scared, so he reached out to her and they have been friends ever since. He did what he could to help her learn to restrain her magic and defended her from those who blamed her or the incident.<br />Shortly after he met some of her friends, and spends a lot of time with Emerald, Ivy Leaf, and Bittersweet. They have been through a lot together.<br />He became a skilled and loyal nightguard.<br />
