Appearance: *I did use a base, because my only drawing program is MS Paint and I am waaaaay too lazy to worry about drawing an original pic on something as cruddy as that.
She's somewhat tall and gangly, a little thin, with bony and sharply defined features (as ponies go, that is). She has blue fur with a diamond shaped darker marking on her forehead. She has a green-blue mane, with a grayish streak of hair that she allows to go past her jeweled headband that she is never seen without.
Cutie Mark: It's a grey cloud, with a slight spiral at the tip. It represents her way with the wind--she controls a breeze better than most other pegasi, and can create a strong or a weak one almost effortlessly through different flying styles that come to her with hardly any practice. She's not great at cloud kicking or competitive flying, but she enjoys trying to push her abilities in creating stronger and stronger winds (in safe places, of course).
Personality: Her primary trait is her hatred of hurting other ponies. Because of this, she stays quiet around strangers, not wanting to say anything to offend them. However, she quickly warms up to ponies and grows to trust them, and when she does she's very friendly.

In social situations, she does her best to make other ponies at ease and not have awkward pauses. She refuses to show off, and is often shy of even slightly exhibiting her abilities to her close friends. This is different with her sister, Blitz, who she enjoys practicing with.

She has a sweet disposition, trying to never say anything to remotely offend another pony. She has trouble with humor because of this. She will try her best not to touch a stranger at all, but she will often affectionately headbutt and hug her friends.
Backstory: Glider was born to an aristocratic family in Canterlot. She loves her younger sister, Blitz, dearly. Her mother left the family when she was very young--the father was a crooked pony, using undesirable methods to gain money, including marrying rich ponies. When the mother found out, she left almost immediately, trying and failing to take her children with her.

Glider was broken-hearted at the separation, and grew quieter as the family began to spiral into ruin, eventually moving to Manehattan where their father began resorting to petty thievery to feed them, much to Glider's dismay, as she adored her father. When her father was eventually arrested, her younger sister took charge, making sure that they could survive on their own. Glider grew to rely more and more on Blitz, but also kept her out of trouble if Blitz would attempt too much.

Glider found a job as a weather pony, where she discovered her talent. She could make a little money, and the two eventually managed to rent an apartment, where they live together. Glider's goal is to make sure Blitz never gets in too much trouble, perhaps find a nice stallion, eventually settle down in a normal, peaceful life.
