Steve
Age: Unknown (Definitely adult though)
Gender: Male
Species: Unicorn
Appearance: He is tanish colored with a turquoise colored shirt. He has dark blue straps around his legs that protect his knees and ankles from being twisted or sprained, which is actually quite possible due to his active life style.
Cutie Mark: A pick-axe. He loves digging and mining.
Personality: Very tough and energetic. Very smart but also impulsive. He loves adventures and can't say no to a challenge, especially if it's life threatening. He is also very loyal and will fight to make sure no one is left behind, sometimes throwing himself in to suicidal situations to save someone.
Backstory: Steve was an adventurer in a faraway land. He'd been everywhere. After exploring a large part of his planet and finding it mostly deserted except for a few villages populated by a strange inhuman type of creature. They were friendly, willing to do business, trading precious gems for more practical items such as food or equipment. After he grew bored of the surface of the world he lived on, he found a way to travel to it's core by means of a strange portal where he encountered a relatively peaceful but very suspicious race of half pig and half undead creatures. They were social-able enough, but still not the kind of beings he'd want to spend an extended amount of time with. They were also especially aggressive if they felt they had been hurt any way. After also encountering many other very hostile creatures, he decided the surface was the place for him. He wasn't overly fond of fire and brimstone or molten lava anyways. He then found a way to travel to a distant and strange plane of reality, where the only land he was able to find was a small island that seemingly floated in space. He decided to endearingly name the island "the end" due to it's utter lonesome existence in that strange reality. In "the end" he encountered a few beings that he'd seen on the surface of his planet before. The creatures in question were also relatively peaceful if not excessively shy. They didn't appreciate being looked at for some reason and showed that unappreciative attitude with their claws and teeth. Other then that, they were nice enough. He also found a rather large dragon inhabited that realm and apparently controlled it. Steve found that he had to defeat the dragon if he ever wished to return home, so defeat the dragon he did. Upon the dragon's demise, a gateway to his home planet appeared. Before leaving, Steve also found an egg, presumably a dragon egg, and took it to try and figure out how to hatch it, hoping to finally have a companion. He stayed in his castle that he built long ago, keeping the egg warm and trying to find more information about dragon eggs and how to make them hatch. During this time learned quite a bit about magic, mostly enchanting, as well as alchemy and started working on his architectural skills, learning how to build more and more advanced things until he was proficient in almost every form of taking things apart and putting them together. He keeps the egg with him where ever he goes now, along with a full set of specially enchanted armor and tools. He has also found a way to be able to magically store up to 36 items (unless some of them are the same, then he can lump them together) in a small pocket universe that only he has access to. Only nine of those items can he access immediately though, the other twenty seven take a bit of time to grab. He learned all this over the course of a few years, trying to get his dragon egg to hatch and also locate other possible forms of life. He eventually came across a strange book. One that he was sure he didn't put in his library. It had a strange image on the front, it looked almost like a...unicorn? He opened the book and looked inside it to see that all the pages were blank...except the first. It said, in very beautiful penmanship "If this book has reached you, then that means that my portal spell worked. If you are from another reality, please say the following words:" He then stopped. The page ended there. What the nether? As he stared at the page, he noticed something coming in to focus. It was words, appearing right in front of him. Unconsciously he started mouthing the words as the appeared. As the last word finished forming, he felt something take a hold of him. He grabbed on to the book and pulled it to his chest as a bright blue light flashed all around him. He saw the world, lit up in blue for a moment, then everything went black. He awoke to...a pony? A purple pony's face was taking up the space right above his head. Steve yelled, the first time he'd done that in a long time and rolled to the side, summoning his sword. In the corner of his eye, he saw it appear and reached out to grab it his...hoof? He looked down at his arm, no...not arm. Leg? What was this? He turned around and around looking himself over. What was going on. He was starting to panic when a calm voice said "Please calm down. I'm not sure who you are or how you got here, but I'm sure I can help. My name is-my book?" Steve stopped and turned to face the pony, which he now realized was actually a unicorn. "My book?" His voice sounded alien. He hadn't used it in a long time. The unicorn walked over to a leather book laying on the ground. His book. The book that must've brought him here. He saw the purple unicorn reach down and grab it. No, that's not right. It levitated over to her. She was staring at it, slack jawed. "That's my...but that means that you're..." In the comotion that follows, a small dragon appears, only adding to the chaos. When everything is finally sorted out, Steve learned that he is now in a land, filled with talking ponies. He also found out that, using the same spell in the book that brought him to equestria, Steve had the ability to create a portal that allowed him to travel back his home planet. He now lives in ponyville. He's opened a small mining/forging business, selling rare stones and other items that he finds in the ground or makes with the ores that he finds to ponies who are willing to pay for his goods. Even though he is now trapped in this strange universe, that hasn't stopped his need for adventure. He is constantly looking for opportunities to get out of the everyday humdrum and explore.

(Optional:)
One night, right after closing his shop down, Steve went to the back of his shop and up the stairs to go to bed. On his way up, as customary, he rubbed a hoof over the dragon egg. He was about to walk on when he felt something warm inside the egg follow his hoof along the inside of the egg. He paused and placed his hoof against the egg shell again. He felt the shell heat up, as if something on the other side of it was also touching the egg. He then felt the egg shudder and stepped back as it cracked and then blew apart in a shower of pieces. Standing there, where the egg used to be, was a baby dragon. Steve named him Ender after the realm in which his egg was found.
