Backstory: He's a unicorn that specializes in stasis magic. At a young age he didn't have the best ability when it came to magic and he got bad grades in the magical academy. Both his parents, who are Pegasi, scold him severely one night having had enough of his bad grades. Panicked and feeling cornered he accidentally cast a magic spell locking his parents in stasis. At that same moment he finally got his cutie mark. <br /><br />After several attempts to free his parents he gave up until he could research the topic more. He learned if you mess up a stasis spell you could accidentally jump the target through time. So he begins training and studying to learn control of his magic, most don't learn the magic because it is a very dangerous school of magic, but his talent is in stasis magic so he figures he should follow his cutie mark. During this time he had to forge his parents writing to resign them from their jobs and keep guests away from his home since his parents were there locked in stasis. He even has to pass the reason for them disappearing is because they went on a trip, it was especially difficult to hide the fact of what he did from his older brother who no longer lived with the family.<br /><br />After a year he finally is capable of releasing his parents and has to catch them up on what happened. So now afraid of their son they kick him out of the house. (that's all I came up with so far)
