Appearance: Silver-grey body, deep green eyes, a striped mane of sky blue and dark red.

Cutie Mark: Upside down cloud with wings. Though cutie marks incorporating wings and clouds are a staple of the pegasi race, what makes Stratos' mark unique is the fact that it is upside down, signifying his love for stunts and aerobatic flying.

Personality: Stratos is very chatty, happy, and outgoing when in familiar situations or when around people he trusts. He can get a bit quite and nervous in new situations or situations he perceives as dangerous.<br /><br />He likes to make jokes and crack wise. Sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing miserably...<br /><br />He takes a very romantic view of flight, seeing it as a form of spiritual communion with the spirits of the world. He believes that the higher and faster he flies, the closer he is to nature. <br /><br />He is a night owl, feeling the most in his element when the sun goes down and Luna paints the sky with stars and the moon.

Backstory: Cobalt Stratosphere grew up in Cloudesdale, where he attended flight school and became known for his altitude skills. Today he works in the weather factory, studying the effects if spectra pigment on the atmosphere. Specifically, he has been tasked with the study of high-altitude weather phenomenon which occur over the Everfree Forest, where weather occurs without the influence of the pegasus ponies. Even though he cannot fly as high as these events occur (near the edge of space), his altitude skills allow him to fly closer to these events than any other pegasus pony is capable of doing.<br /><br />He naturally has a penchant for night flying, preferring the calm solitude of a night sky over the bustle of the sky as normally occurs during the day. It provides him the opportunity to unwind and meditate in the best way he knows how, spreading his wings and allowing the air to carry him high into Luna's beautiful night.
