Personality: Summer Morning is Winter Evening's little sister by one year. While Winter is more sullen and melancholic, Summer is cheerful and optimistic. She doesn't believe in the term boring, and can find something interesting and unique in everypony. While she appears to be all smiles, she also has her more serious side.<br /><br />When it comes to understanding emotion, Summer Morning is perhaps even more knowledgable than her sister. However, she isn't fully aware of that fact, and doesn't have very good control over her unicorn magic. She is unhindered by the fact that she is still a blank flank (unlike Winter) and instead sees her life as having endless opportunities.<br /><br />Unfortunately, there is one problem she shares with her sister. She can't stand being anything less than someponys absolute best friend. However, she doesn't turn bitter, she instead works harder and harder to achieve that status. She sometimes works too hard, and offends or irritates other ponies unwittingly.<br /><br />When she is shunned by a fellow pony, she gives in to brief bouts of depression, which is sometimes so deep that even her sister Winter is appalled. Summer will always find a way to be happy again, and it doesn't take her long.

Backstory: She has a loving family consisting of a father, a mother, and her older sister Winter Evening. She and her sister grew up going to the same classes together, and watched as their classmates moved on with their lives. She was always there to encourage her sister, and she and Winter are very close. <br /><br />Like her sister she's always thought about the day when she would find a very special somepony. In fact, she's probably more interested in it than Winter is! Not a day goes by where she doesn't dream of the happiness it would bring her.
