Appearance: Sunrise is the average height and weight for a mare her age. She has long, blonde hair that falls in front of her face often. The ends of her mane and tail are soft pink. Her tail is so long it trails along the ground as she walks. Her coat is a pastel-ish yellow. Her eyes are turquoise.

Personality: Sunrise is very kind, and innocent. Even ponies that aggravate her, she wouldn't wish anything negative about. She is somewhat cautious around new ponies, though not to the point of shyness, and warms up quickly. She tries to always look on the bright side, and encourage others to keep a positive attitude. However, this does not mean she ignores when something is serious. She is fully capable of having a serious conversation. <br /><br />She doesn't really care about having friends, she just wants everypony to be happy.<br />While she has a positive outlook on life, she, like everypony else, sometimes has days where she doesn't feel so sunny. Whenever she gets upset, she tries to hide it. She doesn't want to bring anyone down. It's quite rare, but it is possible to make her crack and break down, if things gets overwhelming. <br /><br />She can be very scatterbrained at times. Well, many times, actually.<br /><br />She's very nearsighted, and has glasses, but never wears them. Usually, this is because of the point stated above; she's constantly losing them. <br />She is also very clumsy. While this may be in part due to the nearsightedness, and the hair constantly falling in her face, she's just naturally clumsy and prone to tripping.

Backstory: Sunrise was born to a fairly wealthy family in Mareview, a small village near Fillydelphia. She and her parents lived there until she was old enough for school, and then they started moving. Moving to different towns. Sunrise always loved seeing the new places, even though moving around so much meant homeschool. <br />They never stayed in one place for too long, and moved from place to place to place. Places like Invermare, Ponyville, Canterlot, Fillydelphia. <br />There were times when other fillies and colts - generally in the neighbourhood of whatever place she was currently living in - teased her for her inherent clumsiness and nearsightedness. It didn't bother her too much as she got older. She became a bit cautious towards strangers because of it, but it was mere teasing, so it didn't affect her much as she matured.<br />As she got older, her nearsightedness became more pronounced, and her parents took her to an optometrist. And so she was given glasses with corrective lenses. <br />She had always been fairly scatterbrained, and clumsy, but it had never really been much of a problem until she got the glasses. She would constantly lose them or forget them at home and came very close to breaking them several times. It wasn't until she was about ten that her parents decided they should settle down, for her sake. She would have a regular optometrist, and a way to replace them if they were broken. So the next time they moved, they found a relatively cheap home in Canterlot, and they've been living there since.
