Appearance: Synapse has aquamarine colored eyes that are nearsighted; she wears glasses. Her coat is a light orange-white mix, and her mane is silver grey, curving around her neck and curling on her front. Her tail is long and curved, nearly touching the ground.

Synapse's ears also has fur sticking out as well. She is considered tall for a mare; in fact, Synapse is only one inch short of an average stallion's height.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is are two spinal cord neurons, "connected" with each other. Her talent is psychiatry.
Personality: Synapse is a taciturn and reserved pony, preferring to deal with the disordered and troubled rather than study and assist; her partner and psychologist, Inkblot, does that job for her. She has little interest in other ponies' personal lives, and could care less.

Synapse also has a clinical side, pushing ponies to refer to her as "Doctor" over "Miss" (which is true, since she does have an M.D.). She often carries hospital accessories such as empty syringes or operation scissors, despite never being involved in one herself (or being a surgeon).

Almost contrary to her personality, Synapse has a loving attitude, albeit being more subtle. She has a connection with her family relatives, and often interact with stallions around her age. Her relationships can come and go, however; she could remember one stallion one day, and forget him the next.

Synapse also has a deep fear of staying in crowds; she stays away from the public as much as possible, though she strangely does fine in her workplace.
Backstory: Synapse was born the same day as her twin sister, Stereo, in the Trottingham West Zone. They had two parents, one which worked as a stockbroker. The family lived in an apartment in the sururban area. All of them were earth ponies.

Though the two siblings were twin sisters, they were only similar in appearance. While Stereo liked to be with her mother, Synapse liked to be with her father. This may also be the reason why they had completely different cutie marks.

Synapse was taught at the young age of the philosophical beliefs of her father, who had seen much of the reality of economics. It was also then that Synapse wanted to start off on psychiatry to deal with the problems of the pony's mind.

Synapse then worked with her fellow classmates to find solutions to their troubles. One day, she was met with a big case; helping Stereo. She could not get through the doubt of failing in front of her peers, and went through an emotional transition. Feeling sad to see her twin sister like this, Synapse agreed to help her get over it.

Synapse took a whole, different method on the matter. She gave Stereo the best therapy: encouragement and motivation. It required no equipment or the such. But it did reward Synapse with something: her cutie mark.

When Synapse grew up, she moved to Canterlot to learn medicine. She was so remarkable on the field that she even got her degrees at a young age: a bachelor major at 20, a masters at 23, and a M.D. at 26. Later on, she worked with Inkblot as partners, helping patients and the troubled.
