Appearance: You can see him in the avatar. His coat was once a shade similar to the core of a blood orange, but it has faded with the years. His mane was once a brilliant orange and black, but the orange has bleached with age. His violet eyes drink in his surrounds, betraying the truth of his travels in his youth.<br />Synth always wears some means of clothing to cover his back; favoring a silk cloak with gold accents. His mane and tail are neat and trimmed at first glance, but closer inspection reveal one used to a rough-and-tumble lifestyle.

Personality: Synth is a unicorn wizened by his years of wanderlust in his youth, and made set in his ways from years of serving as a professor in Canterlot. He keeps his expressions stoic, but the observant can read his expressions as easily as an open book in his eyes. More often than naught, Synth values a good tale over currency and many a visitor short on bits can get a cool drink, a hot meal, and a bed for the night with barter of a story.

Backstory: Hailing from the coasts of Vanhoover, Synth was always a lover of lore. Unable to sate his desires for a spun tale, Synth hired out with a band of explorers and spent many seasons travelling with a large cast of characters. His journeys stopped when a curse placed on him by an irate unicorn mare showed removed his delusions of immortality that youth brings.<br />Synth eventually returned to Equestria, settling in Canterlot as a professor at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns upon the request of friend. After years of service a simple mistake revealed his curse, and to keep from suffering from the social fallout, Synth retired to a small residence on the edge of Ponyville.<br />It wasn't long before Synth realized retirement is boring, so he had his domicile expanded and converted into a pub for weary travelers.
