Appearance: Terra Highwind is an earth pony with white fur and a blonde mane. She wears a blue shit to shield her from the wind and a matching hat. She also adorns a pare of goggles that were given to her by her father.

Personality: She's an adventuress and plucky pony who seems fearless towards heights. Which is well needed being that she pilots balloon-airships for a living. She also HATES peanut-butter... Like really hates that stuff.

Backstory: Terra Highwind is a spirited Earth Pony who has a love for flying. Raised by her Pegasus father and Earth Pony mother in Ponyville, with her older sister, they lead a joy filled life. As a young filly her father would fly her on his back through the air. The excitement of being so high up, watching the ponies from above like tiny toys is the highlight of her day.<br /><br />Her father would tell fantastic tales of his adventures in the great wide open air. He was a pilot of a ‘shipping crew’ that use to bring large shipments back, and forth from all over Equestria. He passed down his goggles to her, knowing she’d make great use of them someday. As he had no reason to keep them now that he is retired.<br /><br />Fueled by her father's stories about exotic worlds, beautiful cities, and air pirates. She dreams of becoming an adventurer just like him.<br /><br />One day during summer break, Terra got great news. Her father had agreed to take her out for a ride in the airship. He recognized her interest in the airship, everyday after school when not with her friends, she would walk up and down the deck pretending to be in charge and giving orders to the imaginary crew, waiving her ‘sword’ around as if fighting legions of foes. He didn't have the heart to tell her the wooden stick was barely a deadly implement, he enjoyed watching her play. Once aboard the airship they set sail, Terra watching her father’s every move eagerly learning. <br /><br />During the adventure, the airship was hit with a sudden downdraft, before she knew what was happening her father had been knocked into a overhang and was on the ground, not able to respond. The ship was beginning to spiral, in circles closer and closer to an upcoming set of mountain tops. Terra quickly acted, grabbing the wheel and righting the ship. She managed to pull the ship up over the mountain range and set a course for home. When they got home, Terra’s father was starting to come through, and couldn't believe his little girl managed to get them back safely to their home. As they were tying up their airship-home he smiled, pointing out to Terra the new Compass Rose symbol she had obtained during her navigation of the ship. She had managed to save their lives that day, and obtain her cutie mark. This was a day that Terra would always look back on and remember. <br /><br />After many wonderful summers with her friends, sharing stories of their cutie marks and adventures Terra’s parents told them that they were leaving for horseshoe bay for a while and were leaving the airship with her to live in and continue her work. Terra would routinely use it to run shipments to and from neighboring towns to earn money. Before leaving, her father stated she would be in charge of protecting their ship now; and gave her his rapier that had been passed down among their family. <br /><br />-----<br />I do want to continue her story, having her find out her father was actually a pirate, and he left this life to raise his filly the best she can. I'm still working on that part.
