Backstory:
<p>
Several hundred years ago in a land on the opposite side of the planet, a horrible tyrant arose and wreaked havoc upon the lives of many thousands.<br />
If you visit the lands of the East, the story of the Terra Cotta King is well known to the locals and they will all tell you the same.
</p>
<p>
The story begins with the life of a powerful Warlock who lived in secret in a small village in the dessert.<br />
The Warlocks name was Granite Blood, and he wanted all the secrets hidden beneath the dessert for himself.<br />
Whenever a pony claimed to have seen him, they all say that he had with him a black book with a red oval ruby in the center and patterns implying dark magic. The book was named "Chains of the Creeping Sand".
</p>
<p>
It is said that Granite Blood was very successful in collecting many of these secret powers, and that he put them all within the magical confines of the book.<br />
Every power he collected made him more powerful and gave him more control over the dessert.
</p>
<p>
One day, he stumbled upon a power very deep within a cave on the far side of the dessert. He discovered a breached tomb filled not with gold or jewels, but only emptiness and a single sarcopagus with a terra cotte soldier inside it.<br />
He could feel a strange and powerful magic in the air of the tomb, and quickly saw potential for dark magic to be collected.
</p>
<p>
He began to cast a spell which would absorb the magic of the tomb into his book, but as soon he he began uttering the words for the spell, a horrible catastrophe occured.<br />
The magic in the room intensified and Granites body began to feel like it was breaking. He collapsed onto the floor.
</p>
<p>
<br />
Suddenly, the eyes and the cracks on the terra cotta soldiers body began to glow a dark green and it came to life.<br />
The Terra Cotta Warrior rose from the sarcopagus and began to speak to the dying Warlock.
</p>
<p>
The Terra Cotta King uttered: "You are a fool to think that your magic could bind my ancient powers."<br />
He raised his voice: "What was once my tomb, shall now be yours!"<br />
The Terra Cotta King magically raised his spear and excecuted Grainte where he lay.
</p>
<p>
The old Terra Cotta King walked outside of his tomb to see the barren dessert around him. He stomped both his front hooves upon the dessert sand and thousands of tetta cotta soldiers formed from the dessert floor.<br />
Terra Cotta King: "Let us resume our invasion of this land. Perhaps this time, they will be more well prepared!"
</p>
<p>
The terror he brought upon the land was swift. He broke and subdued village after village and city after city with his army. <br />
Wherever his army had marched a blinding sandstorm summoned from the dessert would follow them and begin to tear apart the ground, expanding the dessert deeper into the country.
</p>
<p>
Battle against the Terra Cotta army was difficult and terrifying.<br />
Every time one of its soldiers was struct down by the sword or spear, they would magically rebuild themselves.<br />
An assassination attempt on the Terra Cotta King himself proved even more difficult, as when ever the King was struck down one of his soldiers would collapse instead and feed him their magic.
</p>
<p>
It was a hopeless cause.
</p>
<p>
The emporers armies were helpless against him, until one lucky day. <br />
The yearly Monsoon season had began in the land, and the raining turned the sandstorm to mud. The terra cotta soldiers were stuck in the ground.<br />
The emporers soldiers took the opportunity, carved through the Terra Cotta ranks as quickly as they could, and surrounded the Terra Cotta King. They each struck him dozens of times until his own soldiers couldn't rebuild themselves fast enough to protect him.<br />
After several hours of strikes, the Terra Cotta King himself collapsed and his broken parts sunk into the mud for the very last time.<br />
The magic from his dark army suddenly seeped from his broken army and gathered up into the sky, then vanished into thin air.
</p>
<p>
The day was won and celebration engulfed the land.
</p>
<p>
<br />
No pony in the kingdom knew where his power went, but they knew he was done and defeated. They rebuilt their cities and resumed their lives in a new golden era of peace that lasts to this day.
</p>
<p>
Unknown to them, after his defeat his power was taken to another dimension, the dimension of the Arena of Champions.<br />
Upon arrival from a portal, his magic rebuilt him at the gates and he said: "Finally, a place where I can battle worthy enemies who do not rely upon pathetic good fortune".<br />
The gates were opened, and he walked in to once again wreak havoc on the field of battle........
