Appearance: Thunder Strings has a light-gray coat, dark-blue eyes, and large wings. His chocolate-brown mane and tail are longer than the average stallion's, and is very proud of his 'perfect beard'. His body is buff and durable for any occasion.

Cutie Mark: Thunder Strings has a complex cutie mark. His cutie mark is a gray, ten-pointed star with a black guitar layered over it. Over the guitar is an orange and red lightning bolt, and on top of the lightning bolt is two golden gears.

Personality: Thunder Strings is a very down-to-earth stallion. Thunder Strings is very respectful to his fellow ponies. If you're good to Thunder, he is good to you. He enjoys spending time with his buddies at the bar, and loves to travel to distant locations, like Saddle Arabia. Thunder Strings also has a very suggestive sense of humor; his friends call him 'Thunder G. Strings'. Thunder Strings loves to share his music with all of Equestria, especially the younger mares and colts. He wants to be an inspiration for music, so why not start at a younger age?

Backstory: Thunder Strings was born in Manehattan. He loved music as a child, which inspired him to try and master an instrument when he was a colt. He really wanted to play the guitar. Now, he knew that the guitar was just an old mythical instrument that these 'humans' play, but he really wanted one. The only problem is that even if a guitar did exist in Equestria, he was poor. He had no way to pay for one. So he started working at Sweet Apple Acres for bits. He bucked trees with Big MacIntosh, and made sure that filly Applejack was in good health when the family was hosting a reunion. After years of working, Thunder Strings finally saved enough bits to buy a guitar. He bought it from the same pony who sold Trixie the Alicorn Amulet from the 'Magic Duel' episode. He says that one stallion who also had a passion for music was so inspired by the Anthropology theories, that he decided to create the instrument that was discussed in the legends. This guitar was the only one in Equestria, and it is now in Thunder Strings's hooves. His family is neglectful, which gave him time to practice his guitar. Thunder Strings chooses not to talk about his family because of the years that were wasted because of the neglect. (I guess I should stop talking about his family, too.)<br />It only took Thunder Strings two years to finally create a beautiful work of art on his guitar, which resulted in the appearance of his cutie mark. After laying his eyes on his flank and noticing the complex mark, Thunder Strings knew that he had to become a prodigy. He knew that nobody in Equestria can play the guitar, so he decided to take advantage of that. He started out playing on the sidewalks around Sugarcube Corner, collecting bits in a straw hat. As time progressed, Photo Finish was trotting by Ponyville to find a pony worthy of becoming the 'Next Big Thing.' She noticed Thunder Strings and decided to suit him up and make him shine. This led to Thunder Strings going on tour as a single-stallion band playing inspirational music; his life was very successful. He traveled to a vast amount of locations, including Manehattan and Saddle Arabia. In fact, he still makes bits today even though he retired from playing in concerts. Vinyl Scratch remixes his music, and they share the bits earned from the music sold in stores. Present day Thunder Strings lives in Manehattan as a single stallion with no special somepony at the moment. He plays his guitar in his free time, which is practically all day. He is a free-spirit with still much life ahead of him to explore new ways to enjoy music.
