Appearance: Time Shield is a gray stallion unicorn with green eyes, a thick, combed back green mane and a medium-length tail. In his post-destiny version (see below), he is typically seen wearing what appears at first glance to be an ordinary watch.

Cutie Mark: Green shield emblem with a white clock face. His cutie mark represents both his desire and capacity to protect history from being altered, and his unique ability to sense how events "should be". In his pre-destiny version (see below), he would not be aware of the meaning behind his cutie mark yet.

Personality: When working, he can be extremely serious and has a non-nonsense approach to his job. When not working, he still retains a sense of orderly conduct and protocol, but will often loosen up and try to enjoy himself. In both cases, he is extremely confident in his abilities and rarely loses his composure or allow his emotions to take over.

Backstory: ***Pre-Destiny:<br /><br />Time Shield is the son of a Canterlot royal guard named Tower Shield, who wanted his son to follow in his hoofsteps and train to join the royal guard as well. However, when Time Shield got his cutie mark, he did not fully understand it; all he knew was that being part of the royal guard was not his destiny. This caused some strife between him and his father, so once he was old enough, he left home to try and discover his true destiny.<br /><br />***Destiny:<br /><br />Due to events currently not known, at some point Time Shield realized that his destiny was to protect history from being altered. How he came about this realization is something he declines to talk about. Somewhere during this period is also when he learned how to cast Time Scry and Time Relocation (see below).<br /><br />***Post-Destiny:<br /><br />Although Time Shield is originally from present-day Equestria, he has spent many years in an unknown period of time in the future. For reasons of keeping details of future events concealed, he declines to say when. All he would say is that at some point in the future, the limitations on the Time Relocation spell has been successfully circumvented. In the wake of this discovery, those who have become aware of it have made attempts to change history, or have done so accidentally. Time Shield has taken it upon himself to become a sentinel of history, keeping an eye on any possible changes and going back to correct them, in an effort to make sure history proceeds exactly how it is supposed to proceed.
