Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a blue swirled star. A darker, regular star is at the center. There are also purple lines that curve coming from the lighter blue star

Personality: Vanilla tries not to get close to other ponies in fear of losing them. She still has a few friends that she keeps close. She loves going to her old orphanage and doing some magic tricks for the young ponies.<br /><br />

Backstory: Vanilla was born in Vanhoover where she lived happily with her parents. While they worked, they took her to a daycare and picked her up before they went home. She got along with the other ponies at daycare, until one day they never came back. The daycare mare sent the young filly to an orphanage where Vanilla never got adopted.<br /><br /> During her time there she became interested in magic and decided to study it in her free time, instead of making friends like the other ponies did. She still interacted with other ponies though, but she decided to keep them at a distance. She only made a few friends while she was there. These friends helped her and encouraged her to pursue magic. Every month she’d get a little better and she’d love showing the other ponies her magic tricks. Because of these little magic shows she did for them, she ended up befriending the stallion who ran the orphanage. He would always support her shows and herself when she needed it. Vanilla ended up thinking of him as a step father. Though he never adopted her they became quite close. Because of him, Vanilla started to become a little friendlier with her acquaintances when she showed the younger ponies her tricks. She started to realize it wasn't so bad making friends, though she preferred sticking close to the ones she already made. <br /><br /> After doing a few shows Vanilla decided she wanted to try doing a harder spell than she usually does. So she studied teleportation for a whole month until her next show. She was happy to show them how her studies payed off and teleported. But something went a bit wrong and she ended up teleporting all the way to Ponyville. She tried the spell again but she ended up using too much energy the first time. So she decided to explore this strange new town. There she found the library. There she met Twilight Sparkle. Twilight told her how to get back to Vanhoover and even gave her a few magic tips. And even an essay about magic. After they talked Vanilla realized how much she loved magic and her cutie mark appeared. After exploring Ponyville and making a few new friends she said goodbye to Twily and them and headed back to the orphanage.<br /><br /> Once Vanilla was old enough she decided she'd find her own house to live in. She went back to her old home and packed some of her things since the house wasn't touched. After she packed she decided to look in her parents room for photos of the three of them together. There she found a mysterious box. The mare was stunned at what she found. It was a forbidden spell and a note. After reading the note she understood why her parents had died. but she didn't know how they died.<br /><br />Vanilla Swirl set off for answers. She decided to check their old job first...<br />
