Cutie Mark: A map. Strider loves history and exploring, and is very good at retelling his adventures and the adventures of others from the past, which is what his cutie mark represents.

Personality: Strider is very calm and collected, cool under fire, and respectful of other ponies' needs and wishes. He is a pacifist and despises violence, but can hold his own in a small-scale fight. He is very passionate about history, almost to the point of obsession; he zealously believes the key to the future lies in not repeating past mistakes. Though he tends to be serious, he has occasional moments of good cheer, especially when he is discussing history.

Backstory: AU**. Strider got his cutie mark as a colt when he found the ruins of Ponyville. Being an orphan with no idea where his parents were and having no where else to go, he took residence there and began studying a variety of things in the library, from history to ancient magic.<br />He eventually met other ponies who were in a rebel group against Tirek and Discord, and they took him in. After many years of planning (Strider at this point about 25 years old with a special somepony) they infiltrated the giant Bowser-like castle, which stood over the entirety of where Canterlot used to be and was the center of Tirek's reign. Tirek was vastly powerful at this point, and though he did not anticipate the rebellion, he managed to annihilate them completely. Strider was the only survivor of the group, but lost most of his horn.<br />Strider now travels Equestria, seeking to form a new group of ponies to fight against Tirek's tyranny that will learn from his group's previous mistakes and defeat the centaur, once and for all.
