• Violet Strike

    Miss Light Diamond

    • Age: 18

      Gender: Female

      Species: Non-Pony

Appearance: Violet is a naga...also known as a snake pony.
Which means from the waist down she's just snake, from the waist up she's a normal pony.

Her tail is a dark purple with a light more pinkish purple underbelly.
On her waist, just below where her body changes to being a snake, she has her cutiemark.

From the waist up, her fur is a lighter purple than her tail.
Her mane is wavy and is usually held back in a pony tail, the color is a dark pink.
Her eyes are a very bright pink with slits for pupils.
She also has a unicorn horn for magic but she isn't very good at it.

She has a very elegant look to her considering she is part snake.
She also has very sharp teeth...very sharp...and pointed ears.

Cutie Mark: A cello at a slight angle. On one side the cello it morphs into piano keys.

Violet spent most of her childhood entertaining herself rather than going out to the nearby town.
One of the things she often did was play music, which happened to be the cello and the piano.

She never realized that playing these two instruments was her special talent until she was eighteen...mostly because she didn't think she was able to get a cutie mark.

Personality: Shy. Timid. She tries her best to stay calm but if provoked, she can get rather angry.
Shes very loving and accepting. She can get along with pretty much anypony and loves to make friends...well, she would...if she made friends.
Backstory: Violet was found by her parents (Two royals who had retired early from Canterlot) On their way back from a trip to Manehattan.
Snake Ponies are born in eggs but Violet had just hatched and was nearly hit by the carriage.

Originally, Mister Striker (Violets father) Wanted to throw her back into the woods...he thought she was some sort of monster they should be rid of...but Misses Striker insisted upon them...at the very least, finding her a home.

But...both Mr and Mrs Striker knew that by the time they got back to the house, their search for a home would be over.

They decided to keep Violet and raise her as one of their own...along with their two other children, Skyheart (Who is four years older than Violet)and Sparkle Whisp (Who is two years older than Violet)

Mr and Mrs Striker thought it best not to send Violet to public school for...obvious reasons.
So instead, they hired a tutor for Violet while her brothers went to school in the small town of Dodge, which was about an hours carriage ride from their large country home.

Violet's first meeting with her tutor was when she was six...
At first Violet and her tutor (Riddle Run)didn't really get along, he was slightly scared of her...in general...and she was slightly scared of his rather large mustache.
But after only three visits, they both loved each other and Violet looked forwards to her classes with Riddle.

They focused mostly on English, Math, magic lessons and History...but they would occasionally sneak off and read story books instead of reading about numbers or spells...Mr and Mrs Striker did not really approve of this. They wanted Violet to be educated and not always have her head in the clouds...they thought that if she knew more about Ponies and Equestrian history...she may be able to fit in more easily, But when Skyheart and Sparkle Wisp got home every day from school, the three of them would venture out into the woods to pretend they were fighting pirates, returning covered in mud almost every time.

When Violet was eight, she was already as tall as her father and as strong as both of her brothers put together...but she never did anything with her strength. She was the kind of girl who would go out and chase dragon flies or read by the lake over wrestling with her brothers...who often asked her too. She did, but rarely.

One day when she decided to go out into the forest to explore a bit, she came across a...rather odd colt.
A batpony named Vesper.

Violet and Vesper instantly became friends after a little bit of...well, hiding. Violet was kinda scared of bats and Vesper was scared of Violet because...snakes at bats.

Buuuut after a little bit of getting used to each other, Vesper and Violet became close friends and would see each other every day.

When she was alone or had nothing to do she tried to occupy herself with just some hobbies...which she had allot of.
Her parents owned a shiny grand piano which she played every day.
She also learnt to play the cello but focused mostly on Piano.

Her life continued on fairly normally from then on.
Her parents never took her into town for fear that she would get made fun of...or worse, ponies wouldn't want to make fun of her out of fear.
But when Violet turned sixteen, she insisted upon seeing the town...so Mr and Mrs Striker reluctantly agreed, knowing they couldn't keep her cooped up forever.
They took her into the town for dinner...and things went rather well.
Sure, a bunch of ponies stared and a few went out of their way to stay away from Violet...but it was nothing to bad.
Most of the townsfolk knew that The Striker family had another child...a child that was a little out of the ordinary...mostly because her brothers had told all their friends in school...who thought Violet sounded awesome...awesome enough for both her brothers (Who were both visiting from school in Canterlot and Cloudsdale) to sneak her out to a surprise birthday party the night after she visited the town.

Most of the ponies there were very kind to her, commenting on her tail, telling her she was pretty...but there was a small group who, inevitably, thought she was too weird to be around normal ponies.
A mare from the few ponies managed to get Violet alone and bullied her. The mare told Violet that she was ugly and shouldn't allowed to be around all the "Normal" Ponies.

Violet didn't know why somepony would do this...why would somepony want to hurt somepony else's feelings?
Violet was heart broken and the mare continued throwing insults out...until Violet bit her...she didn't mean to hurt the mare, she just wanted her to go away...but sadly the venom effected the mare rather badly. Violet just wanting the insults to stop...but sadly, the mare nearly died.

The mare was rushed to the doctors as Violet was rushed home by her brothers.
Many ponies were very angry and warned Mr and Mrs Striker that if they ever saw Violet in town again, they would call the guards.

So Violet was forced to stay home...with only Riddle and Vesper to talk too apart from the maids and her parents...and brothers...when they were back from school.
Riddle and Vesper were her only friends and...well, Riddle was payed to be her friend so technically Vesper was the only pony outside the family Violet could really talk too.

After about two years, she has visited Dodge a few times since most of the townsfolk had calmed down over her appearance...but sadly, as much as she wants to go travel the world...she's still living at the mansion with her parents...and the butlers and maids. The farthest she had traveled from home was too Ponyville for a small garden party.

That party had given her so much, she had met some friends. It really was perfect. But sadly...she had to go home with her parents, but they promised her they could visit the tiny town of Ponyville again whenever she wanted...which was good enough for her.
