Appearance: Whirlwind is a red pony with a shorter messy brown mane. He wears a lab coat with the sleeves rolled up, and a dark blue shirt. The lab coat and pants have integrated flexible leather armor in the fabric on the shoulders, flanks, back shins, knees, and elbows. Whirlwind also keeps a utility belt and a satchel with useful tools. Whirlwind is also commonly seen with a set of headphones he listens to while working. <br /><br />Out in public Whirlwind takes off his lab coat and switches to a pullover with an integrated hood, and the pullover also has leather integrated armor. In addition to the rest of his "civilian" clothing, Whirlwind wears a scarf when it suits him.<br /><br />Whirlwind also has a series of metal plugs on his body, hidden by fur he let grow, that he can insert capsules into. There are two above where his wings join his body, one on the back of his head. One on each of his shoulders, and two on his lower back. He also has two behind the knees on his back hooves.

Cutie Mark: A beaker with a wrench and a bullet in it. The beaker shows his passion for chemistry. The wrench his passion for engineering and math. And the bullet represents his drive to protect those he cares for and that which he values.

Personality: When Whirlwind sets upon a task, he normally goe through with it to the finish. Whirlwind has a bit of lazy side, and likes to sleep in. He also is known to be able to be skilled at chicanery. Whirlwind usually more enthusiastic than depressed, and generally friendly to other ponies. Although he is considered old fashioned despite his young(?) age. Whirlwind Firestarter also can switch from his happier mood to a darker one, in which certain morals he normally keeps will be throw out the window.

Backstory: Whirlwind is an inventor, he lives in a old warehouse garage with his second cousin Dark Façade. Whirlwind manages the garage and works on his projects by himself, but is fine with getting out once in a while. Whirlwind's ascension is rather unknown to most ponies, and Whirlwind generally keeps the knowledge it to himself. Of one was to pester him enough, he might say that his ascension was caused a focused strike of magic-induced lightning. But what really happened to him is kept under wraps, but involves something known as Project: Coepi Ignis, from a facility known as Dusk Laboratories in Manehatten. He claims to be Façade's "second cousin", and that is the story he and Façade will stick with.
