Personality: Winter Evening is your average run of the mill Ponyville resident. She's kind, understanding, and has lots of friends. At least, that's what she tells herself. In truth, she is very insecure about how she appears to other ponies. This is mostly due to the fact that is still a blank flank, despite being a full grown mare.

Her colors don't stand out as much as other ponies' do, her mane isn't as stylish as other ponies' are, and she simply isn't good at anything. The one thing she does feel pride in is her control over her unicorn magic. She has a deep understanding over the powers of emotion, and is trying to use her magic to control these powers so that she may use them to make her life more meaningful.

She isn't a very talkative pony, but she tries to make the best of any situation. No matter what she does, she always has a slight hint of sadness behind everything. She's also very fascinated with the concept of having a very special somepony, but that's a secret she'd never be willing to admit.

Only one thing makes her truly angry, and that's when she's mistaken for somepony else. She doesn't take pride in her appearance, and feels even more ashamed when another pony thinks she's somepony else they know.
Backstory: Winter has a very caring and loving family. They live in a somewhat more secluded area of Ponyville, away from other ponies' houses. She has a father, a mother, and a sister one year younger than her.

She's never been neglected by other ponies, but she's never really been anypony's PFF. She's always been unsatisfied with being just another friend. She wants to be truly special in somepony's heart. She's always worked her hardest to try and meet as many new ponies as possible, but her repeated failures and lack of talent have sunk her confidence.

Her filly days were nothing spectacular. She watched in awe as her fellow classmates grew up, got their cutie marks, and found their callings. She thought it was a given that her day would come soon. But here she is now, with no PFFs to call her own and no cutie mark to show for anything.

Nowadays she meekly converses with her pony friends, never feeling as if she'll be anything more than "just another friend".
